If you are short on time, here are 5 things to skip in Epcot:
- The American Adventure – Unless you want a lesson on American History or a rest in the air conditioning than skip this attraction. The American Adventure is a longer attraction, at 30 minutes to complete.
- Mission Space – Orange – Unless you enjoy feeling nauseated or you aren’t easily affected by confined spaces and spinning upside down, I would skip the Orange side and go for the Green side instead. It is tamer!
- Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival – Time is money and this one isn’t one that I want to spend my money on.
- Canada: Far and Wide – This movie about Canada is standing room only. If your legs are tired, skip this one.
- Reflections of China – This is a another 14 minute standing room only show in the World Showcase I would skip if short on time.

Mission Space Orange is the best…not your be missed!
I understand where you are coming from on these, but they all have their moments. Especially for adults with no kids in tow. Universe of Energy is a nice, slow, dark, cool ride when you have been busy enjoying the refreshments in each country. Easy to get a good nap in (much like Ellen or the American Experience) Pixar shorts are cute, and again, a good place to cool off. I can’t do the Orange side of Mission Space (did it once…yikes) but many people enjoy it. Circle of life is a one time experience…again, to relax a bit if tired and hot. I have not yet been able to do the show O Canada…it has been down or I just can’t fit it in. I hope to try it next time.
Again, if people are short on time, maybe avoid a few of these, but most of them are a quick cool down on a hot day, and Epcot is very short on shade!
To those of you who have not been to EPCOT and are reading this, I agree with the comments above that Universe is a great ride. My kids love it, and regularly watch the ride-thru on YouTube when we’re at home. Also as a roller coaster junkie who has tried every thrill ride in every park I’ve been to, Mission Space orange is something I’ve never experienced on any other ride. Definitely on my not to be missed list. You need to try it at least once.
I love Impressions de France, it’s one of our favorites and it’s a sit down in a comfy theater!!
Add me to the list of people who enjoys Universe of Energy and will be sad if they remove yet another classic in favor of some trendy movie. :(
Impressions de France has very comfortable seats in a theater that is like a classic opera house. The lovely film has images are France with great classic music.
China and Canada have great 360° films, worth watching at least once. But you do have to stand.
Krissy is correct on Impressons de France. Also, Universe is outdated but still entertaining…and if nothing else a great place to rest/catch a catnap/get cool without having to go all the way back to the room lol.
Impressions de France is a sit down movie. You do have to stand for O Canada! and Reflections of China, but not Impressions de France.
Impressions de France, is not a standing movie, there is a very nicely air conditioned sit down theatre and the film is a beautiful trip through France, especially enjoyable for those of us not yet able to make it to France! It’s a must do for us
