Previously reported, Disney’s Magical Express, the complimentary service that takes guests to & from Orlando International airport (MCO) will end as of January 1, 2022. Guests are now wondering if Mears transportation they are used to will still be providing services, the answer is yes! Today we have the breakdown on how Mears Transportation’s connection experience will work, and what it will cost you.
Mears Connect has stated that they will offer the, “same reliable, safe service guests have been using for decades to Disney area hotels”. This service begins running on January 1, 2022. Reservations are now open for rides starting January 1, 2022 and later.

What To Expect
With Mears Connect, guests can expect quick access to Mears Connect after landing, monitored or limited wait time to board and limited stops before arriving to your hotel/Resort. You will even receive an arrival souvenir! Once on board, enjoy clean and sanitized vehicles with spacious and comfortable seating and even entertainment while you ride! All while being driven by a friendly and professional driver.
Mears Connect Cost
The Standard service (one-way) will cost: $16/Adult and $13.50/Child and (round trip) will cost: $32/Adult and $27/Child. They also offer a Premium service with a cost of $200 for up to 4 passengers and $55/person for additional passengers
Standard Service Vs. Premium Service
Standard service offers a limited number of stops and boarding your transportation within 20 minutes of check-in at the Mears Connect reception area, this is a shared ride service in a bus, van or small vehicle with economical fares.
Express service offers limited to no wait time and a direct service to and from the airport and your Resort with a guaranteed first stop.
Where To Board at Orlando International Airport
Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you will board Mears Connect on level 1, ground transportation level, in terminal B. Also found here is the Mears Connect reception area for check-in. You will be responsible for grabbing your checked luggage.
How Your Return Trip Works
Ask whichever Disney Resort you are staying at the front desk to find out where the Mears Connect pickup is at your Resort, for your return flight from Orlando International Airport. Guests using standard service will be picked up at their Resort up to 3 hours in advance of your departure time (domestic), and up to 4 hours (for international flyers). Express service users will be picked up at their Resort up to 2 hours in advance of your departure time (domestic), and up to 3 hours (for international flyers).
