Here are 5 ways to treat Dad at Disney for Father’s Day celebration, a Birthday or any time of the year! What would you add to this list?
1. Go Fishing
Dad’s love fishing, and it is a great way to spend some time together. Consider fishing from a dock at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside with casting-rod fishing. The waters are well-stocked and fishing gear can be rented on-site from the Fishin’ Hole at Ol’ Man Island.
Go all out on a guided fishing excursion for a bass fishing outing. This experience is offered year round, for guests of all levels and ages. Choose either a 2 or 4-hour excursion. Guests are provided with lifejackets, a rod and reel, tackle, bait, non-alcoholic beverages and an experienced guide. Offered at various marinas at Disney World. Hot tip, largemouth bass tend to be more active in the morning and evening (avoid mid-day).
Note that all fishing expereinces at Disney World are catch-and-release.
2. Have A Dinner Dad will Love
If there is one thing that guys appreciate, its a good dinner! Consider a juicy steak for dinner from favorite Disney World restaurants: La Cellier Steakhouse (Epcot), Flying Fish (Boardwalk) and STK (Disney Springs). If seafood is his favorite, consider Paddlefish or The Boathouse at Disney Springs, for excellent food and waterfront dining. There are dinners for every taste at Disney World. Browse Disney dining and make an advanced dining reservation (available starting 180 days out).
3. Take A Golf Lesson
Guests are invited to learn from the Pros with a golf lesson. Lesson includes: a coaching session, with video review & personal feedback to up your game. Step on a Disney Golf Course, owned by Arnold Palmer Golf Management and learn from an instructor during a 45 minute private session. Golf club and shoe rental included in price of lesson. Lessons are by appointment only. Costs for adults is $75.

4. Music Fans visit the House of Blues at Disney Springs
Music fans gather at the House of Blues in Disney Springs for live concerts and southern favorite foods. Visit for lunch or dinner and start with the HOB Wings, Gumbo and more. Then choose from flatbreads, salads and entrees such as Fried Chicken, Ribs, Burgers and much more, including kids meals and family meals to share. Dad will love the Front Porch Bar, open daily at 4pm for live entertainment and cold drinks. Going for a concert? Look into the Pass the line opportunity, for early access.
5. Sports Fans visit the ESPN Club at Disney’s Boardwalk
The ESPN Club at Disney’s Boardwalk is more than just lunch and dinner location, its a 13,000 square foot sports fan dream. Guests will find close to 100 video monitors, showcasing up to 30 different televised sports programs. Fun fact, there are even TV’s in the bathroom stalls! Seating is first-come first-serve and can fill up fast on game days, I suggest a reservation. Guests will dine off a pub-style menu, start with Sea salted Onion Rings or the ESPN Wings and more. Entrees include the Crunch Burger, Guinness beer-battered Fish and more. Plus, save room for the S’mores Bread Pudding. Guests aged 21+ can enjoy adult beverages near a 108-sq. ft. video wall.
