When you think of packing lists, things not to pack usually doesn’t come to mind. However, there are some things you do not need to worry about packing for a Disney World Vacation. Here are 7 things to leave at home (to save room in your suitcase for more souvenirs).
1. Life Vests
Staying at a Disney World Resort is part of the fun of a Disney vacation. For guests who do choose to stay on-site, each Disney World pool offers complimentary children’s life vests. They do have varying sizes. This is a great bulky item not to have to pack.
2. Towels
Another item provided at Disney Resort pool sides are Towels. Of course you can choose to pack your own towels, as the ones provided are plain white. However, towels can take up a considerable amount of space in a suitcase and is another nice item to not have to worry about packing.
3. Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash
Disney World has switched over to a more economic system of larger bottle dispensers in the shower versus travel sized bottles. These are refilled by Mousekeeping. Guests will find a bottle dispenser of Shampoo, Conditioner & Body wash.
4. Power Strips
Gone are the days of bringing power strips for additional charging, as updated Resort rooms have plenty of places to plug in. Updated rooms also now contain USB ports.
5. First Aid Items
Items such as Band-Aids, a Tylenol, a thermometer strip and more can be found for guests at First Aid centers at each of the 4 main theme parks. While having small first aid items on hand is a time saver, you never know what you may need. In addition, bug spray is also offered at various locations throughout the parks and more.
6. Hair Dryer
A hair dryer is provided for guests in the Disney Resort rooms. Also good to know is an iron and ironing board can also be found for guests use.
7. Water
While some guests prefer to have water shipped to their resort or pack with them, it is not necessary. Instead, get free cups of ice water from quick service restaurants. Each time you stop to buy a snack, drink or meal, ask for an ice water to go as well. Or simply stop by and ask for an ice water, just be prepared to wait in line.
