According to a website called professorshouse.com, fifty-two percent of Americans over the age of eighteen enjoy a cup of coffee every single morning. With thirty percent of the population drinking coffee occasionally, this means that over eighty percent of Americans consume coffee. On average, professorshouse.com. says coffee drinkers will spend nearly $165 per year on coffee. For those coffee drinkers that get a cup to go from a local coffeehouse before work, they will wait in line nearly forty-five hours each year! Coffee is the leading source of caffeine consumption in the United States, and it is the world’s second most popular drink after water. If you follow our advice on when you should go to Disney World, maybe you won’t have to stand in a Disney coffee line for too long.
If you want to cut down on some of that waiting time at WDW, you can pick up coffee at many of the gift shops. Disney offers “Mickey’s Really Swell Coffee” in a 12 oz. can for just $9.95. This is the largest size available for purchase in the Disney parks, and the two flavor options are Chocolate Fudge and Disney Blend.
Men and women have similar coffee habits, both consuming the same amount of coffee each day, but with different reasons for doing so. While women indicate that coffee is a good way to relax, men say that coffee helps them get their job done. Generally, women are more concerned about the price of coffee than men. Coffee trees can only be grown where there is no winter frost. Many varieties of the coffee plant exist, but only two are cultivated: the Arabica, and the Robusta. The Arabica is considered to be the best quality, but can only be grown above an altitude of 2000 feet, while the Robusta can grow below. It takes three to five years for a coffee tree to reach maturity; in one year, the average yield from a single tree is approximately one roasted pound of coffee. That’s a lot of work for a cup of coffee, so you better drink it from something ultra stylish.

The coffee at AK’s Tusker House is some of the best I’ve ever had. Just keep in mind the future restroom visits that could interrupt your busy schedule while you’re downing your bottomless cup o’ java (something I neglected to think of…my family still reminds me).
