If you are looking for a delicious spot for your first meal of the day, here are the 9 best counter service options for breakfast in Walt Disney World.
Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom – This is the only counter service restaurant that requires you to book a reservation 180 days in advance. If you book an 8 am reservation you can actually enter the park before all the other guests (as long as it is opening at 9 am that day). Spend a few minutes strolling up Main Street and capturing beautiful shots without other guests photo bombing your pictures. The food is reasonably priced and counts as a counter service credit if you are on the dining plan.
Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom – Pop in for a breakfast pastry (the cinnamon roll is absolutely amazing!) or Starbucks coffee. They both are considered snack credits on the dining plan.
Sleepy Hallow in the Magic Kingdom – Order the Fruit and Nutella Waffle for a very filling and delicious breakfast. It is an oversized waffle topped with Nutella, bananas, strawberries and blueberries.
Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot – Back in France you will find a delicious little breakfast spot that most people don’t even realize that it opens at 9 am with the rest of the park. The Ham and Cheese Croissant is filling and delicious and you can eat it while enjoying the France Pavillon (nothing else is open at this time).
Sunshine Seasons in Epcot – The adult breakfast platter will fill you up and it is a great little spot to head after you have rushed to Soarin’ (be sure that you have secured a Fastpass+ to Test Track though). They also have delicious muffins if you are looking for something that can be eaten quickly.
Creature Comforts Coffee Shop in Animal Kingdom – Here you can order your favorite Starbucks beverage and enjoy it as you head back to Kilimanjaro Safaris.
Captain Cooks at the Polynesian Resort – During breakfast, you can get the famous Tonga Toast. This is probably the most delicious breakfast available anywhere on property. It is a 2 pieces of sourdough bread with a banana mixture in the middle and the whole thing is surrounded in a delicious glaze on cinnamon and sugar.
Mickey Waffles at your resort’s counter service restaurant – Wake up early and head to your resort’s counter service restaurant for an order of Mickey waffles before you go the parks. They are delicious! And if you have a dairy allergy, ask them to make you a special allergy version of the waffles. You can also grab the Bounty Platter which includes a Mickey waffle, bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes and a biscuit.
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter – Even if not staying here anyone may dine here. Choose from an array of choices including the famous Beignets. Take a boat ride to Disney Springs after breakfast from the resort.
