As you prepare your gear for your day in the theme parks, make sure you bring everything that you will need. Here are 9 things to put in your park bag at Walt Disney World:
1. Your identification – Do not go anywhere without your government issued ID including the theme parks. If something happens with your tickets they might want to see your ID. They also will want to check it for annual pass discounts and sometimes for your credit card as well. Plus if you have any kind of medical emergency you are going to need your ID.
2. Your form of payment – Don’t depend on the MagicBand as your only form of payment. I’ve seen the MagicBand system go down while the credit card system remained up. Just to be on the safe side, bring both with you!
3. Sunscreen – Florida sun is brutal. Always make sure to apply sunscreen and set a timer on your phone to remind you to apply it again.
4. Water – Even if you don’t drink anything but soda at home, make sure you drink water in Disney World. Your body needs it! You will feel so much better both physically and emotionally if you drink it. Trust me!
5. Ponchos – If there is rain in the forecast, bring disposable ponchos from the dollar store. After you use them, you can just throw them away. So much easier than buying one in the park and having to deal with it for the rest of the day.
6. Your phone charger – If you get low on battery you are going to regret not having your charger with you. You can usually find an available outlet to camp out by while you get a charge. Disney also sells battery packs that you can purchase to charge your phone.
7. Your camera – Don’t forget to bring your camera with you. If you plan to use your cell phone, make sure you have plenty of space!
8. Pins and Pennies – If you plan to trade pins or you want to press pennies, make sure you throw them in your bag. You’ll need 51c to press a penny.
9. Autograph books – If you want the characters to sign your book or other items, make sure you don’t forget it! Some of our favorite things to have them sign includes pillow cases, wooden letters and autograph mats for picture frames.
If you have kids, make sure you pack them snacks, change of clothes, diapers, wipes, etc. We usually carry an L.L. Bean backpack and I have one compartment for the kids and one for our stuff.
