Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom is a Quick Service restaurant that serves hamburgers, hotdogs, nuggets and other fair type foods. The restaurant is themed as the former dorms for students at The Dino Institute and includes a number of items left behind by the students. Here are 10 Things You Haven’t Noticed In Restaurantosaurus:
The various dining areas of this restaurant are where the students hung out including a recreation room with badminton nets, a basketball hoop and even an airstream trailer (used by one of the early paleontologists) attached to it to give extra space for the jukebox.
Hanging from the rafters is a couple pairs of students shoes. Leaves you to wonder what they were doing when the shoes ended up there.
Most of the signs in the restaurant have been turned into dinosaur names (including the sign on the outside of the restaurant giving it its name).
There are random sketches on the walls. I love this one of a couple driving a dinosaur car.
Hanging from the ceiling in the Vehicle Maintenanceosaurus room is a real engine. You can also find a collection of hub caps on the far wall. Throughout the room are various tools and items that a mechanic would need.
This poster reads “American Gothic Revisited” although it really doesn’t even resemble the original painting.
The huge dinosaur bones decorating the walls of the restaurant.
Including this skeleton that says “I <3 Flying”
A couple of the dorm rooms can be seen in the rafters of one of the dining area.
Looks like the paleontologists brushed their hair with dino themed brushes.
The Golden Boot Award is given to the person who walked the most in search of dinosaur bones.
The Golden Trowel Award goes to the person who made the greatest amount of discoveries of the year.
This award goes to the person who did the least laundry.
This board contains a message that one student left for Animal not to forget poor Jenny’s surprise party.
Restaurantosaurus is definitely worth a visit to see what you can find!
