Gingerbread Displays
Disney’s Gingerbread Displays are an annual holiday event at select Disney Resorts (and other locations). Participating Resorts often include: Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. With the last one being a favorite of all with life-size Gingerbread houses. This is a fun way to resort hop and participate in holiday fun, the displays are just incredible. Holiday Sleigh Rides
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers a Holiday Sleigh Ride during the month of December each year ($84 per ride in 2017). Each carriage ride holds up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children. This horse-drawn carriage, decorated for the holiday, ride lasts 25 minutes. Plus, while you are at Disney’s Fort Wilderness check out the holiday decorations
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin
See a Chocolate Santa Display (2017) at The Swan (near Il Mulino New York Trattorianightly). Plus enjoy a nightly tree lighting in the lobby, carolers, cookie decorating and more. Plus, Santa & Mrs. Claus will appear on select nights through Christmas.
Disney Springs
The Christmas tree trail is a fun self-guide walking tour of Disney themed decorated Christmas trees. This makes for great photo opportunities and fun gazing at the themed ornaments on each tree. Each tree will be 10′-12′ and themed such as Minnie Mouse, Snow White, Cinderella, Pinocchio and more. In 2016, Disney Springs offered a drone show as well.
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
Outside of the entrance to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, find the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf. Back story – Santa built this location for his off-duty elves. Choose between 2 courses – Summer celebrating the warm Florida sun or the Winter course, celebrating the cold of the North Pole. If you are staying at a Disney World Resort look in your welcome book as often there are complimentary passes included.
