1. Skip The Front Desk
To do this, guests will want to download the My Disney Experience App and link their account (using your ID number). Guests can start the online check-in process up to 60 days before arrival date. 2. Unlock Your Resort Room Door
Through the My Disney Experience App guests of select Disney Resorts can unlock their Resort room door with their phone. This is done with the use of Bluetooth technology. Learn how it works.
3. Turn Waiting Time into Play Time
Play Disney Parks app is free to download from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Message, data and roaming charges may apply. Select queue’s of attractions unlock interactive experiences:
- Toy Story Mania! at Disney California Adventure Park & Hollywood Studios unlocks “Playset Party”
- Peter Pan’s Flight at Disneyland park & Magic Kingdom unlocks “Off to Neverland”
- Space Mountain at Disneyland park & Magic Kingdom unlocks “Rocket Race”
- Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios unlocks “Andy’s Boardgame Blast”
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – play an in-queue game, guests can accept a job for Hondo Ohnaka while waiting to board this attraction!
4. Look Inside Cargo, Translate Signs & More
Another reason to download the Play Disney Parks app is an unprecedented landwide interactive experience at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (Fall 2019 at Disney World). Through the app turn your mobile device into a Star Wars: Datapad, guests will find several features and tools.
Features & Tools:
- Hacking Feature – Use to see droids memories or interact with select door panels
- Scanning Tool – Use to get a look inside cargo crates while exploring the land.
- Translation Tool – Use to translate Aurebesh signs (the written language of Star Wars galaxy)
- Outpost Control – Use to play the landwide game and support either side of your choosing, with galactic credits as rewards.
5. Order Your Food
Another feature of the My Disney Experience App is Mobile Ordering. This convenient service allows guests to order and pre-pay for their food at select Quick service restaurants throughout Disney World. You will be notified when your food is ready and then head to a separate pick-up window, skipping the regular line!
6. Make Additional Fastpass+
Once your 3 preselected Fastpass+ are used up for the day, check while in line on My Disney Experience App for your next one! As soon as your last is used up, guests are eligible for unlimited Fastpass+, one at a time. Guests can also cancel Fastpass.
7. Find Mickey Mouse
Use the My Disney Experience App to find Mickey Mouse and more favorite Disney characters for meet & greets at Disney World. Simply look under the Character tab and Mickey Heads will pop up at every Character meet & greet location at that time.
8. Check Wait Times for Attractions & Busses
Another handy feature of the My Disney Experience App is wait times for attractions at the theme parks. This will tell you where to head to next, and where not to – based on wait times. Furthermore, guests staying at a Disney World resort can now check estimates for when your bus will arrive at your Resort & destination. See real time updates for busses by tapping “See Bus Times”.
9. Pay For Coffee
Did you know there is a Starbucks location at all 4 theme parks and 2 locations at Disney Springs? Even if you are not a coffee drinker, they sell juice, breakfast sandwiches and more. Download the Starbucks app and pay for coffee and more at Disney World from your phone! Even better, Earn Free Starbucks Gift Cards and load them to your app. Do note, Stars can be earned at all Starbucks at Disney however guests can only redeem free drinks at the Disney Springs locations.
10. Check The Radar
Disney World, located in Florida, is known for its passing showers. While it may rain daily at some times during the year, it does not usually rain all day long. Therefore, instead of leaving the park or your activity have a weather app downloaded, to check radar with zip code: 32830. I suggest using the Weather Channel.
