I am constantly in the state of planning a trip back home, to Walt Disney World. I love the cherished memories I make each time. There is nothing like walking down Main St USA in Magic Kingdom, the music, the sights, the magic. However, to get my family back to Disney as much as possible, I have learned to be creative along the way saving for my next Disney vacation. Below are the my top 5 creative ways I save for a Disney vacation.
1. Keep The Change
Rolling change may seem old fashioned, however it really does add up. I keep a change jar on my kitchen counter and love watching it fill up with change from the day. When it is full, it is time to roll that Disney money!
2. Apps
Two of my favorite apps to earn actually off Disney gift cards as a reward option! These are Dabbl & Shopkick. To earn with Dabbl, take surveys, discover products by watching ads and more. Learn more on how to Earn Money with Dabbl. For Shopkicks, get kicks (points) for simply walking into stores, scan and buy products to earn more. Also, under Discover check daily for videos and collections to browse, look for the blue circle and tap to claim your point/s! Redeem points for FREE Disney gift cards.
3. Swagbucks
Swagbucks is mentioned frequently in the SavEars. Many, including myself, use it as a tool to save for Disney! What is Swagbucks? It is an interactive website where you can earn points (in the form of Swagbucks aka SB) and turn that into real money (gift cards or PayPal). Sign up for the FREE 7-Day Swagbucks Course to get started. Then, learn how to turn Swagbucks into Disney money.
4. Get Organized & Sell Unwanted Items
Not only does getting organized free up space, you can earn money by selling unwanted items! Consider having a yard sale, or use local Facebook yard sale groups. I also sell items on eBay.
5. Discounted Disney Gift Cards
With the money I earn/save, I turn it into Disney gift cards. Using my Target Red card (Debit or Credit) I save 5% off Disney Gift Cards! Therefore, I only need to earn $47.50 to snag a $50 Disney Gift Card. Other places to find discounted Disney gift cards are club warehouse stores such as Sam’s Club or BJ’s, also check Raise.com.
Why we love Disney Gift Cards: Disney gift cards can be used to pay for your Disney Resort package including your room, park tickets, dining plan and more. Furthermore, saving money a Disney gift card assures the money goes towards your Disney vacation and not tempted by something else (like having cash set aside would).
