I was wondering why they were all leaving too. I guess because the park was closing. LOVE the parade at AK. I got some of my favorite pics there our first trip of those big wooden things with the painted-faced people in them. I barely knew how to use the new camera we had and was shocked at how neat they turned out. And it ain’t easy to take pictures of a bunch of moving stuff either! lol! :-)
Love, love, love the Lion King show! My son was picked to be in it on his fourth birthday so it has really special memories for us! He chose a stuffed Pumba that we purchased that trip and he carried it around with him forever. Great memories! Thanks for reminding me of them! Hope your’re having a great time!

AK is the park I have spent the least amount of time in. Not for lack of interest, more for not enough time!!! I do want to spend a day there soon.
Why was everyone leaving? We are going to try an evening visit this upcoming trip to see what that is like.
looks like you’re having so much fun! i am trying to decide between nemo and lion king for our family. our kids have never seen the lion king movie but they love nemo, so i’m leaning in that direction for now. may have to change my mind based on what you post of your trip though! :)

I love doing Ak at EMH in the evening…everyone is leaving but we are just getting there and walk on all the rides.
We can usually hit the highlights at AK and be done for the day by 1:00sh. We arrive early and use the fastpasses to ride Everest a couple of times.
My favorite cheap meal at AK is the chicken fried rice at the Yak and Yedi. VERY YUMMY and SUPER CHEAP!

My favorite thing at AK is definitely Festival of the Lion King. I could watch it all day long!!!

We went to Animal Kingdom on Wednesday we went at rope drop so we were able to go on all the rides we wanted before noon. It’s great to go that early then go swimming in the afternoon at the pool at Pop Century.
AK is my husband and son’s favorite park!! I am pretty traditional, still love MK the most!
While I do enjoy AK, the last trip DD and Dh went independently there to ride Expedition Everest and some of the other rides.There seems to be a bit “less” to do for the little ones or keep their attention, even when people watching. They did love the safari ride, the parade and the Nemo show. We haven’t seen the Lion King one yet.
I love the animal kingdom too! It is my favorite park by far. I love the Lion King Show!
Why were all the people leaving?
I love AK!
LOVE Animal Kingdom! My son’s favorite was the Tarzan’s live show.. I think they shut that down a few years ago. He used to say “mo tawzan ma-ma!” lol
