Learn the best and worse times now.
Crowds
Who doesn’t want to walk into a Disney World park on a low crowd day?! I know I do! One of the best times to travel to Disney World is the beginning of the year, after the holiday crowds have gone back home. Another awesome time is September, after schools have begun. Some of the worse times to go regarding crowds also center around schools and their vacations, expect much of the summer months to be crowded. The myth of low crowd times has diminished over the years, as Disney World seems to always be busy now, however your best and worst chances are below.
Best:
- Much of January
- Early February
- Super Bowl Weekend
- September
Worst:
- Marathon Weekends
- Spring Breaks
- School Holidays & Vacations including Summer Vacation
- Major Holidays: Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas etc.
Weather
Weather preferences vary by person, however many of us want comfortable weather without the chance of a lot of rain! Below are the best and worse months based on this. Read more on weather at Disney World with this Month by Month Weather Guide.
Best:
- November – February: By November temperatures are starting to cool down and become more bearable during the daytime. These months also see the least rainfall out of the entire year. Plus, all Disney Resort pools are heated so lower temps will not stop many guests from being able to go for a swim.
Worst:
- June – September: Not only are these the hottest months out of the year for Florida, these months see the most rainfall during the year. Furthermore, these months fall under Hurricane Season for Florida.
Price
Price is an important variable for many of us! Simply depending on your travel dates, you could pay more or less for your Disney vacation. Many of the below items also match up with crowd levels.
Best:
- Much of January
- Much of February
- September
Worst:
- School Holidays & Vactaions
- Summer Months
- 2nd half of December through New Years Day
- Major Holidays: Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas etc.
