There is a big change for kids at Walt Disney World. They are now requiring children 3-9 years old to scan their finger at the turnstile. Jacob had to start scanning his finger and it has been a challenge. He doesn’t keep his finger flat or still and 80% of the time it doesn’t work on the first try.
I can tell the Cast Members are frustrated. It is also making the lines longer at the turnstiles because they are having to spend more time helping little ones who just aren’t capable of keeping their finger still.
A friend of mine was able to use her finger for her 4 year old this past week. That is a helpful option, but then what happens when your child goes to Disney with someone else? It wouldn’t work for us because sometimes my children’s grandmother takes them to the park.
I know in the past that people would loan their children’s annual pass out to friends since they weren’t tied to a fingerprint. That is what they are trying to stop. But as a parent of a child that is about to turn 3, I am not a big fan of this change.
That is all I know. I would love to hear your thoughts.

My fingerprint is tied to my 4 year old daughters pass. I was also worried about how it would work if her father took her to the parks without me. All you have to do is ask a cast member to take a picture of your child and they will link the picture to the pass as well, this way they can get into the park with anyone. They took her picture right at the turnstile.
Thanks for posts. I look forwarding to reading them everyday!
