Planning on visiting Disney World in 2013? You can now book your vacation! Resort prices have been released for the 2013 vacation dates, but there are currently no deals or special offers.
The price you are quoted today is what we call ‘rack rate’ which is the regular price of the vacation without any deals. If you go ahead and book today and a deal (or two or three) come out for your vacation dates, it can be applied to your reservation without penalty! So if you want to go ahead and book your vacation now to secure your room reservation at a specific resort, you can!
Here’s an example:
Jessica books her October 1st, 2013 vacation today at Pop Century. Her total package with dining plan and park tickets comes up to $3,000 (example figure) at the rack rate price. She pays a deposit of $200 to secure her reservation and has until mid August to pay for it in full.
In January, a deal for 20% off the price of the room is released. Since Jessica booked with Destinations in Florida, they were already watching the deals and automatically apply it to Jessica’s package and then inform her that she just saved $300.
In June, a deal for FREE dining for Jessica’s trip is released. Destinations in Florida sees it will save her even more money and apply it to her package automatically. She just saved $700!
In the meantime, Jessica has been making payments 3-4 times a month on her vacation package without penalty or any interest. She can pay however much she wants as often as she wants (we call this having your vacation on layaway).
So if you are ready to book your 2013 vacation, consider using my friends at Destinations in Florida (their services are FREE to you!). They not only offer $10 off the price you would pay if you booked directly through Disney, but they also offer many other perks and incentives for booking with them and it won’t cost you a dime.

I have a question if anyone knows. Does this same savings deal apply if you book room only?
They do release room only discounts.
Is there a place I can go to look at these prices?
You can go right through Disney.com to price your vacation. :)
I believe it is just one discount per room. You have to choose which works better for you. I’m guessing in this example the second offer saved more money so that promo was added.
So you can get both the room discount and dining plan deal if your trip falls within the specified dates?
