We are living in unprecedented times and that means things are changing rapidly. Initially, Walt Disney World had offered extensions for all their Annual Passholders, meaning if the parks were close for 30 days, all annual pass expiration dates would be extended for 30 days.
With closures still going on and no official end in sight, Disney World is now offering the option to accept a partial refund in lieu of an extension, so you would keep your original expiration date but receive a bit of cash back. There will be more information on this option in the coming days.
Additionally, starting April 5th all automatic payments for Annual Passholders who pay on monthly payment plans will stop for the remainder of the parks closure. Walt Disney World will also be refunding payments made between March 14 through April 4, 2020. It is important to note that pass expiration dates will not be extended with this option. If you so choose, you may postpone your payments, starting with the one due April 5th and continue to postpone through closure. When the parks reopen, your payments will resume and your passes will be extended.
Further information on how to opt in is coming soon.

Disneyland is following a similar protocol to Walt Disney World, with a stoppage of monthly payment plans and the option to choose a partial refund.
