- Not taking full advantage of my photo pass. We did the 3 day photo package for $89.99. The first 2 park days we didn’t use it. That way we could use it the last three days. I think that is where I messed up. The first park day is when we bought the photo package. It was fresh in my mind at that point. I keep thinking I can’t use it yet. By Wednesday (the 3rd day) it was an afterthought. We often forgot to have the photo pass card scanned after rides or when we met characters. With the $89.99 package you can also get 2 free prints. I forgot about those and never went to take advantage. I ended up with only 25 photos from the Universal photo package.
- Not learning about Volcano Bay before I visited. Volcano Bay is massive! It is has a long pathway with rides off the main walking area, or little winding walking paths that take you to the ride. Sounds simple or so I thought! I didn’t think about all the foliage and trees blocking your view. We wasted a ton of time just figuring out how to get around.
- Standing in line for 45 minutes at 1:00 PM in the hot August sun to try the newest, latest, and greatest food offering. The new crepe stand had just opened about a week before we visited. Of course we wanted to try it! Well so did everyone else. Add in the team members where new to making crepes. You see the problem here? I have no idea what I was thinking!
