Hollywood Studios celebrated its 29th Anniversary since opening its gates on May 1, 1989. Just one month before Toy Story Land opens and approximately one year before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Opens. Today, celebrate 29 years of Hollywood Studios with 29 facts below.

- Hollywood Studios opened on May 1, 1989 for guests. Making it the third Disney park at Disney World.

- At Disney’s Hollywood Studios BaseLine Tap House is a lounge, open daily. The lounge is found on Grand Avenue, an area inspired by Downtown Los Angeles. This area previously housed Muppets Courtyard.
- 50’s Prime Time Café is a unique themed dining experience, allowing guests the chance for a TV dinner in a 1955 vintage kitchen of their own.
- On September 8, 2017 One Man’s Dream in Disney’s Hollywood Studios re-opened as “Walt Disney Presents”. Many of the original aspects remain, such as the storyboards and sketches. However, this will also be a place for guests to find out new attractions and get sneak peaks of upcoming Disney movies.
- Guests can enjoy a meet & greet with BB-8 and more at Star Wars Launch Bay.
- Beauty and the Beauty and the Beast live on stage premiered the same day as the animated Disney movie, on November 22, 1991.

- Sid Cahuenga’s One Of A Kind Shop in Hollywood Studios is an example of a California Bungalow. It was inspired by the true story of Jane’s House, where a homeowner on Hollywood Boulevard held out against commercial development and a shopping mall was built around the house instead.
- Sit in a car shaped booth or table at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant and watch the big screen, made to look like an old drive in theater.
- The latest version of Star Tours – The Adventure Continues includes a trip to the galaxy’s outer rim on a planet named Batuu.
- Hollywood studios is a great spot for little ones with Disney Junior Live on Stage, a 24 minute puppet show based on Disney Junior TV Shows. Little ones are encouraged to dance or sing along.
- Go for a high score on Toy Story Mania. When Toy Story Land opens guests will find Toy Story Mania is currently under refurbishment until the opening of Toy Story Land. Returning to full a new entrance and 3rd track for Toy Story Mania.

- Tatooine Traders in Hollywood Studios is located at the exit of Star Wars: The Adventure Continues. Find an array of Star Wars souvenirs. The store is designed to resemble the buildings of Mos Espa and Mos Eisley.
- Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is the evenings fireworks performance. This fireworks and special effects show is a celebration of the Star Wars saga movies told through music, effects, lighting and special effects. If you have a Made with Magic item, it will work with this show.
