It is 105 days until Christmas. That might seem like a long time in the grand scheme of things, but if you want to Coupon to Christmas it is time to get started….
When you are a couponer, you don’t just save on groceries. There are coupons for toys, board games, perfumes, baby items, etc. There are sales, clearance and hot buys. Christmas shouldn’t break your family’s budget and if you start to Coupon to Christmas now, it won’t.
For the next 104 days, I will be posting coupons, hot deals, holiday tips and more under a new category on the blog called Coupon to Christmas. You can find a direct link here or just click on the Coupon to Christmas icon on the sidebar to view the latest posts.
Hopefully I will be able to help you put a lot of deals presents under your tree!
Today’s Challenge
Go through your gift closet, stash, under your bed, behind the dresser, up in the attic, etc and find everything you have stashed for Christmas gifts and make an inventory of the items. Don’t count on yourself to remember, you need to actually make an list of items you have.
Here are a few Gift Closet Inventory pages you could print to use to make your list:
- Gift Closet Inventory from Organized Home
- Gift Closet Inventory from Organize-Utah
- Gift Closet Inventory from Solutions.com
Be sure to check out the Couponing to Christmas category for all the hottest coupons and deals for this Holiday season. You can also read through my planning articles here.
I use an app that lists all the presents so I can keep track! I have been couponing and saving since last Christmas, but I must say thank you because you taught me a lot!
We always go over budget and end up spending $600-700, and we don’t have kids that is just on parents, brothers/sisters, Aunts/Uncles and grandparents. I started ordering Christmas cards with free codes awhile back for grandparents and those aunts/uncles we only see at Christmas. I am over halfway done with my list and only spent $12. I am glad for the help to finish the rest of my list I am running out of ideas.
I am super excited!!! I can’t wait to get started.
I’ve been waiting for this! I already started with some bargains – can’t wait to see what deals you find for us. Thank you!
This will help so much! I am on disability and have my 2 disabled sons that although are young adults now still believe in Santa and 2 granddaughters to buy for. I spent this weekend crying, wondering how I am going to pull Christmas off and then I saw this just now. Thanks so much!
Thank you, thank you!!! Can’t wait for this!!!!
I love yoru website!
really excited for this. I have already got alot of great deals on toys at target in july for christmas presents but I could use some help with other members in the family !!
If you live near a Borders, you have to get there ASAP if you haven’t been shopping the liquidation sales. We are doing a lot of gift-stocking-up from there. They are now at 60%-80% off everything, and as of last week, they were still getting new stock in, and most of the stock was gift-y stuff (which we actually don’t like so much … we would have preferred more books, CDs, and DVDs, but oh well).
Oh yeah, and the last time I was there, they had a bunch of Disney stuff in the toys section. And it is now 60% off!
WOW! I am so excited about this idea! I try to buy through out the year but have not gotten much done this year! I do have a few gifts bought so that helps alittle! YAHOO! Thanks so much
It is as if you were reading my mind. I love this idea!!! Thank you so much! I think things are going to be alittle more scarse this Christmas.
I’ve been counting down for Christmas since last Christmas. I actually start getting out the Christmas decor on Halloween in between trick-or-treaters and start putting everything up on November 1st.
I can’t wait!
I can’t wait!
I am excited about this also!!!!! Though the big Christmas present this year is a trip to Disney World, I would like to see my kids (5 and 2) open a few things on Christmas morning. Only 83 more days to go till Disney!!!!
We too are doing Disney in December! Only 90 days! Can’t wait! I have already hit the clearance sales at Target and have a nice stash in the top of our closet!
LOVE this! Last Christmas I made gift baskets for all 3 of my sisters using lots of stuff I got with coupons!
Can’t wait to take part in this! This will definitely be exciting especially since the extra savings can then be added to my “Couponing to the Tahoe” (yes, I mean the truck) fund!!
WOOT WOOT!!!
lol! I’ve been Christmas shopping since 2 months before LAST Christmas. My poor Christmas closet is full to bursting hahaha. I’m still SUPER excited hahahaha.
That is awesome!
Bring it on!!!!!!
I am so excited for you to start this! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas shopping!! I can’t wait to find great bargain this year!
what a clever concept!
This is a great idea! I have a lot of people to buy for and could use what deals you find. I have been shopping all year and I think I have about 4 people done.
I am never ready for Christmas money wise because my husband goes OVERBOARD and doesn’t know when to stop. We have a big family as far as counting the extended family. I can’t wait to see what kind of deals you help us to find and hopefully place under many of our trees. I know I have already started and found a few deals that have helped me to save some money.
I can so relate to this ! My husband is the same way , but with us we have 8 children . He goes all out for Christmas . His excuse is always “It’s Christmas ” for everything he buys. I always try to plan and buy meaningful ( and hopefully somewhat educational ) and get a deal why doing so.
I am so excited for this, too. I can use all the help I can get!!!!
I am SO excited for this!!!
