I really enjoy reading how my readers are Couponing to Disney! Brandy is going to be sharing her Couponing to Disney journey with us. She is just starting to build her fund.
I am so excited to actually start Couponing to Disney! We will be going to WDW in early May of 2017. There are 7 of us (3 adults and 4 kids) and we have a reservation for Port Orleans Riverside for 8 glorious days. This is our first trip and we are all beyond excited. Originally, we were thinking we would get to go only for 5 nights and 4 days, but when we got on the website and messed around with dates we noticed that the longer you stay the cheaper it gets! We decided to go ahead and stay as long as we could. This means we need to save a significant amount of money for the longer trip.
When I was saving for my cruise, I started babysitting to help pay for the cruise. I am still babysitting and earn $800.00 a month, so all of that money will be going towards my Disney fund! My current goal is to pay off my Magic Your Way vacation package for 7 people in 2 rooms for 8 nights (includes rooms and tickets to all 4 parks), a total of $6,373.63, by February 2017. That means I need to save $1,062.63 a month.
These past 3 weeks I have done great on Swagbucks! There have been quite a few FREE or MONEYMAKER after Swagbucks offers. I got paid for babysitting as well. But that money I am holding on to in a separate savings account until a great gift card deal comes along or my payment in full is due. I want to see how much of my trip I can actually pay for with Swagbucks, Ibotta, CO51, Savingstar, and all other money saving apps.
Swagbucks – $75.00 Amazon or Walmart gift cards
(I ordered groceries and then used $75.00 from my grocery budget to buy a Disney gift card.)
Weekly Total: $75.00
You can click here to see how I did on my previous weeks.
Total needed: $6,373.63
Total saved/earned to date: $300.00
