Disney hates me. That’s the only reason I can come up with that we don’t have Disneyland prices in hand. I’m ready to book and they are like “Nope, keep going to Florida, we don’t want you here.” All the sadness, you guys.
I’m gearing up to take a load of children’s stuff to a consignment shop. It drives me crazy to do that, but Facebook sales can be brutal here- you get 40 people wanting an item, only to have none of them follow through (actually happened to me). It’s just not worth the stress and the headache anymore. So I suck it up and take less money to have a guaranteed sale.
We discovered pre-existing termite damage in my daughter’s room. $1800 later, it’s fixed. It was bad you guys. I knew something was wrong when we bought the house and tried to paint the walls, but I had no idea it was as bad as it was. Thankfully we took care of it before there was any structural damage and there were no active termites. It’s just a big hit to our savings. Gotta up my game!
Unfortunately it’s been a spending kind of week.
I took advantage of some of the “Black Friday in July/Prime Day” deals to stock up on household things- like cat litter. I don’t stockpile like I used to, but I still take advantage of deals to make sure I get the best price I can on items that don’t go bad- like the aforementioned cat litter, or toilet paper. Higher spending right now to take advantage of lower prices means savings in the long run. I also managed to snag a few Christmas gifts for Miss Bongo thanks to Prime Day deals.
