Every vacation starts with a dream. That dream is followed quickly by “But how are we going to pay for it?”
We took a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World this May, so naturally our minds are turning to important issues- like what are we going to do next year?
The easy answer is “Let’s just go back to Disney World!”, but having been multiple times in the past few years, we’re thinking of doing something a little different, especially because 2020 will be the last summer before my kiddo starts Kindergarten. How does that even happen? I’m convinced we miscounted somewhere.
So anyway- back to somewhere different. But where? I’ve got several big ideas. I’m still in the planning where we’ll go stages- will we leave the country? Fly across it? Maybe a cruise would be fun- I just don’t know. There are so many possibilities.
The great thing is it’s never too early to start saving that money, even if you don’t know what you’re saving it for! I’m going to start at a ZERO sum and the goal is to pay for everything through my money saving schemes- even though right now I’m not sure if I’ll need airplane tickets and a rental car, or just gas money. I invite you to join me on this journey as we decide where to go and I work to pay for it! Be prepared to see my goals change as I start nailing down actual prices, but right now I’m going to choose a number so I can at least start my goals.
Y’all know me though- I’m not paying retail for anything, if I can help it! Lets see how much money I can save, and what kind of deals I can swing on this trip!
