Selling things you no longer need or use is a great way to earn for your upcoming Disney trip! I have earned thousands of dollars by having garage sales. Remember one man’s junk is another’s treasure! I have also been having great luck with Swagbucks surveys this year so far. I hope most of you are as well!
The first week of the year is done! As part of my new years traditions, I deep clean and declutter every room in my house. I actually do it twice a year! Even with being very mindful about what we choose to spend money on. We still accumulate things that we no longer want or use. I do a massive deep clean and declutter twice a year, in January and in June. This keeps my home tidy, clean, and organized.
It is a huge undertaking! I do it in small baby steps. I aim to do one room a week. Hallways and bathrooms are tiny and lumped together in one week. I spend at least 2o minutes a day per room. One day, I might only get a drawer organized. While another day I might get the closet cleaned out. As long as I spend 20 minutes a day on whichever room, I am pleased with my progress. While it might seem like a small amount of time. If you keep at it before you know it you will have a room checked off your list, feel accomplished, and maybe even have some money to add to your Disney fund.
This week I am focusing on my room. My husband and myself went thru our clothes and freed up lots of closet space. We both had things we hadn’t worn in over a year in our closets. None of the clothes where designer. Most of them where well loved. I could of sold them but it wouldn’t of been for much. I didn’t feel like it would be a good use of my time to have a garage sale or sale them online thru one of the apps. We donated them to our local Goodwill. I did find a PlayStation dual shock controller, I sold for $25.00! That was the highlight. I also found a few new items. A pack of 4 beer glasses in the box, a Rubbermaid container set, table cloth, 5 place-mats, and a set of sheets. These things have been in my closet for at least 5 years. I decided I was never going to use them. It was time to part ways! For all of those things combined I earned $30.00. That brings my total in found money for Disney fund from one room up to $55.00!
With Swagbucks I have earned 4,840 SB this week! Surveys have been plentiful for me. Normally this time of the year they dry up. I was able to cash out twice this week. From surveys I have earned 2,684 ($26.84). My December daily meter bonus was 1,540 ($15.40). 232 was from shop and earn. The rest was from watch, survey dq SB, search, and free offers. My husband cashed out his first $25.00 gift card! He is so excited. It was the first one of the month the discounted one. That is a huge win for him! We both cashed out our discounted gift cards for Walmart. We are going to put gas with the gift cards. Then take $50.00 from our gas budget and add to our Disney fund!
