(Winners will be announced on Monday)
Grow Your Fund is a daily post that gives you a chance to win prizes by checking in on all the various challenges you are participating in. You can choose to participate in one, two or even all of the challenges giving you even more opportunities to Grow Your Fund!
The Challenges
No Dining Out: The concept is simple, lower your family’s dining out bill and add the money you save to your fund.
Minniemizing for the Mouse: Get in shape for your trip to Disney by walking at least 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week. The average person walks 8 or more miles a day at Disney World. Your feet will thank you!
Not going to Disney? Don’t worry. You can participate too. Just commit to working out at least 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week!
Budget Challenge: Can your family stay on budget this month for groceries, entertainment, dining, etc? Do you think you could even challenge yourself not to spend a dime 5 days this month? Be sure to report on your spending vs your budget every day. The goal is to be able to add the extra money saved at the end of the month to your fund!
*If you haven’t set a budget yet, you might want to check out this post.
Decluttering Challenge: Is your stuff starting to overtake your house? Do you feel like your kids room is full of too much junk and not enough fun? If so, I challenge you to find a new home for just 25 items a day for the next 30 days. This could be 25 articles of clothing, 25 books you no longer read, 25 toys your kids ignore. Have a box for items to donations, a box for items to sell and throw the rest away! At the end of the challenge, have a yard sale and add the earnings to your fund!
The prizes
At the end of each month, I will pick FOUR winners who will each receive $25 to add to their fund. Look for the winners to be announced on the 3rd of each month.
How to enter
Leave a comment with the title of the challenges it is for. You can participate in one, two, three or even all four challenges. There will be one winner per challenge, and winners can win multiple times! It’s all done by using Random.org, so if your number comes up and you are eligible, you win! In order to be eligible to win, you must actively participate in the challenge for at least FIVE calendar days.
Click below for even more details on each challenge…
No Dining
- Take a look at your current dining out budget. How much did you spend last month going out to eat? That is money that could have gone into your fund instead! Try cutting your out to eat costs this month and adding the difference to your fund.
- Set a weekly dining out budget, if you resist going out to eat, add that amount to your fund instead.
- If you were seriously about to go out to eat (like had your coat on and was going out the door or pulled into the drive thru and then pulled back out), add the amount you would have spent to your fund.
- Going out to eat and using a coupon or paying with a gift card? You could add that amount to your fund too. For example… if you had a $25 gift card to Cracker Barrel and you used it, you could take $25 cash out of your budget and add it to the fund. Or if you used a $10 coupon, you could take $10 cash out of the budget and add it to the fund.
- You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate!
- You are allowed 1 freebie meal that you don’t have to count or report back to us about. Please report on everything else though so we can encourage and support one another!
- Free meals do not count against you. This is a challenge to spend less money going out to eat than you usually spend. If someone else is paying for the meal or you have a coupon to make it free, great!
- At the end of the month, you will need to comment on the very last post to be entered to win. I will choose the winner from that post and verify that you have commented on at least 5 days worth of posts. The comments must of occurred on 5 DIFFERENT days. Meaning if on the 30th, you commented on that post and then went back and commented on 4 days worth of posts, you would be disqualified. You must comment on 5 different posts on 5 different days.
Minniemizing for the Mouse
- I need to get fit for the mouse. My feet hurt so bad from all that walking and for once I’d love to experience Disney without being in pain. We are going in November, so I am hoping to make a big lifestyle change between now and then. I can’t do it alone and so I need the help from all of you!
- Check in each day and report on your progress. The goal is to exercise for at least 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week. For those of us going to Disney, walking for those 20 minutes is a great way to not only get in shape, but prepare our feet.
- It really doesn’t matter what you do as long as you are moving!
Budget Challenge
- Everyone needs a budget. Budgets will help you to be in control of your money without your money being in control of you. You dictate where your money goes and how it is spent.
- Don’t have a budget? I’ve written a few articles that should help you set one… How to Set a Budget and How to Set a Grocery Budget. You’ll find even more helpful advice under Getting Started Couponing and Your Fund.
- Each day, check in and let us know how much you spent the day before and if you stayed under budget or not. We aren’t here to critique your budget (unless you ask!), but we are here to support you in staying on track!
- Also feel free to include bargain brags. Did you find a great deal or do something creative to save money, be sure to share it with all of us!
Decluttering Challenge
- It doesn’t take long for the stuff to start taking over your home. The kids rooms start overflowing with broken, neglected and just plain weird no idea where they came from toys. Your stockpile starts to spread from the kitchen, to the hall, to your bathtub. You start finding that the home for more and more items is the middle of your living room floor. Etc!
- It can be overwhelming to take on the task of decluttering your home, but the end rewards are so worth the effort. To make the process easy, I challenge you to find just 25 items every day to find a new home for. Get a box labeled donations, one labeled to sell, and one for trash. Go through 25 items a day and either put it in one of the 3 boxes or find a new permanent place for it.
- At the end of 30 days, you will have an organized home and you can have a yard sale to add more money to your fund!
- Be sure to post every day that you have gone through your 25 items and found a new home for them. Don’t just put them back where they don’t belong.
Good luck!

NDO – It’s never a good thing when the 1st/payday lands on a Friday. Went for Japanese, but we used a Restaurant.com gc.
Minniemize – Some pool time, and I’ve added lots of fruits and veggies to the diet.
Budget – Still haven’t sat down to make one, but the freezer is full of meat from a great deal I scored a few weeks ago. Grocery shopping has consisted of replenishing produce and dairy.
Decluttering – Working on getting through the papers that are piling up and really trying to organize my q’s since my inserts rarely match up with what’s posted.
Kim says
*budget* – Spent Zero yesterday! and have my grocery budget set for the month that won’t be a problem at all!!!
*Minniemize* I’m so counting the 3hrs+ it took to clean out my car, detail every nook and cranny I moved my butt off (just not enough of it yet)!! not to mention i’m awaiting hip surgery so anything is a good thing!
Kim says
NO Dining out…it’s not in the budget to begin with! so that’s an easy one.
De-cluttering has begun – Started with my car, i know it’s not a room in the house but believe me it can collect as much stuff! thru out lots of toy pieces and old take out toys, old papers and such. it will be such a pleasure to get in and go. Next on to my bedroom! there should be lots in there i can part with. can’t wait to get to my office and the garage tho.. thats where there is $ to be made.. :) happy 4th everyone!
Shannon B. says
I love the start of a new month :)
*No Dining Out* I made a quick pot of pasta and meatballs after my walk and before hitting the grocery store.
*Minniemize* Took a 20-25 minute walk after my hubby came home from work and took the babies to visit grandma and pap pap.
*Budget* Totally on track. Went to the grocery store to shop for two weeks worth of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the five of us and to pick up some items for my stockpile. My bill was $0.81 more than I anticipated. I can live with that :)
*Decluttering* I don’t know if this actually counts as decluttering, I certainly can not sell or donate these items, but I completely cleaned out my fridge and pantry before heading to the store. I threw away all the half-drank bottles of beverages that have been in there for quite some time, threw away the bags with 2 or 3 chips left in them, etc. Whether or not this is decluttering, I feel good that it’s done and looks nice.
Rebecca says
No dining out! I am trying to cook as much as possible
Elyse says
Dining Out – Drove to Ohio today and packed a meal for the rode. No dining out today.
Minnimize – Didn’t do any exercise, but made good choices about eating. I thought about going to my co-workers candy dish for a Friday treat and resisted.
Budget – Only bought gas today. Other then that, I didn’t spend any other money.
Decluttering – Dropped off three bags of clothes to Planet Aid today. Next step is donating books. Woo hoo!
Brigitte says
No dining: fail!! Boyfriend went to bk for lunch and we grabbed a late night snack meal at white castles just now!!!
Minimize: fail. Ate 2 donuts at work and didn’t really exercise at all
Budget: it was payday and all the money went to bills. Shouldn’t have spent money on eating out but we’ve been good beforetoday.
Declutter: none. No time today to do any cleaning- actually added more to the mess to clean tomorrow!!
I’m not having a good start to the month!!!!!
Kristal Tinsler says
No dinning out,we RARELY do,,unless its a birthday
So I got that in the bag LOL
I also work out daily, and has lost 45lbs in the last 6 months!
Budget, since I clicked the “like” on your FB page,I have saved almost $200!
I never realized how much I could save,I have started saving the pop can deposits, and adding $10-13 a week to our fund,as well as saving change and cashing it in at the end of the month! Can’t wait to see what that adds up too!
De-clutter-this is my WORST area! But,I am going to try,,my only problem,is I always donate what I get rid of,so it will be hard for me to make money off it,,maybe I will donate all clothes, but big items such as furniture, would be best sold??
I cant thank you enough! Not only am I growing our Disney fund, but also learning amazing saving tips for life!
Kristin of Couponing to Disney says
That is awesome about your weight loss!! :) You’re doing great on your budget, too!
Kim says
Budget – We didn’t spend any money today and hope to have several days of no spending this month.
Dining out – no dining out. Had tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner.
Minniemize – OK, I am going to try this one this month. I’ll let you know how it goes…
Jennifer says
Just starting the challenges this month!
Budget: Started really couponing and looking for good deals to stock up on. I made a menu for the week based on the deals I could find in the store ads. Growing our own food and canning veggies, jams, etc. has helped on the grocery bill too!
Minniemize: I have been working in the garden everyday, but I will start adding walking and swimming to the program.
Declutter: I have been cleaning out my daughter’s closet and sending the clothes to friends. So far, 2 30 gallon garbage bags sent!
Wendy says
Minimize: Still have 1 stubborn pound to loose, and then I can work to maintain my pre-baby weight! YAY!!!!!
Declutter: Yard sale next weekend, so I’m doing a last week blast of the house to see if I can fill at least 3 more boxes of stuff….
Budget: Still under budget, and got some great things on clearance at CVS for baskets at a bridal shower next year!!
Kristin of Couponing to Disney says
Only 1 pound left! That’s awesome!!
Wendy says
No dining out: thanks to you we didn’t tonight! Usually I would have grabbed something fast food on the way home from work, because hubby had to leave 20 minutes after I got home for his job. This time, he cooked at lunch time, and now I just have to heat up leftovers when I’m hungry – yay!
Bree says
NO DINING OUT – My husband and I were planning to eat out last night, but he ended up spending the night changing the tire that went flat. I stayed inside and decided to try a new recipe. I had all the items I needed to make Creamy Bow Tie Pasta and we still had leftovers.
BUDGET CHALLENGE – We decided that we were going to go back to printing out coupons. It seemed like a waste because a lot of the coupons weren’t being used, but we’ve decided to give it another go.
MINNIEMIZE FOR THE MOUSE – Husband and I decided to take on some yard work, mostly to fill in the holes that our new dogs have been digging in the front yard. We were going to do it before we went out to eat, but that was sidetracked (see above).
DECLUTTERING CHALLENGE – I decided to organize all the paperwork that my husband received when he got a new job. It took four months, but instead of one big folder, it is now divided into smaller sections (application, benefits, schedules, etc.)
Wendy says
I only print one of those I’m not sure I’ll use to help minimize some of that waste.
Krista says
Minimize – 1 hour walk. I got on the scale this morning & realize that this month I need to focus not just on exercise, but also nutrition.
Declutter – I can’t believe how much stuff keeps leaving the house. Today, glass recycling gets dropped off.
theresa says
no dining out!
Leigh says
Declutter- I’m also in for this challenge! We’re on our way back from a trip right now, but I plan to start this weekend on decluttering closets! Anything I chunk will be sold at our next yard sale for our vacation fund!
Dorinda says
No dining out – Well I am not off to a good start but tonight we are eating out but on the bright side I will be using a coupon.
Budget – I am really hoping to stick to my budget good this month. Last month was a disaster.
Leigh says
Budget Challenge- I plan to shave $50 off my grocery/household budget this month. I’ve already got it super low so this will be quite a challenge for me, but I’m up for it!
Lisa says
Minniemizing
Squeaked through my workout today after stopping at least 5 times to change a diaper or settle arguments. Even if I wake up at 5:30, I can’t get started without at least 2 of my three waking up. Mommy-radar! Some days I have to remember that although I do need to take time for myself, I also need to have patience. Hopefully I’ll have a better workout tomorrow!
No Dining Out
We went to the aquarium today and packed a lunch. Tonight, we are having black bean soup at home.
Budgeting:
Pay day! I have to carefully manage this pay as we had extra expenses last month!
Kathie M says
DINING – Took water with us when we went to the play place and didn’t buy any snacks!
DECLUTTERING – Didn’t get anything new done but on a plus the shelfs I did last week have stayed clean for a whole week and collected no more clutter! The dining room table has also been cleaned off each night…small steps right!?!
MINNIEMIZE – I just decided to start this so I’m sure it will be slow going but I ate well all day except at night when a friend called me for ice cream…I just had to!
BUDGET – I used my ON Groupon and it cost me $6 for shirt, shoes & shirt.
Karen says
Im in for all 4!
denise says
NDO

declutter
nothing
Angela N says
Budget – I may try to find some last minute deals today but, basically going to get ready for our camping trip. We will bring all our food except for one meal. It is at our lake lot getaway so no extra expenses except gas.
Declutter – My stepfather just bought a travel trailer and needs some stuff for it so I’m actually going to declutter our travel trailer this weekend when we are camping and give it to him!
No dining – We will be dining out tomorrow by using our BOGO KFC coupon for dinner so at least it will be half price.
Jennifer says
No Dining Out – Well we ate out last night. We were going to see a show at the theater that my boyfriend works at and we were meeting there straight from work for him and from my doctor’s appointment for me. So we needed to pick up a quick bite to eat. We did both pack our lunches to bring them with us, though, so at leasat it was just one meal. We picked up a sandwhich (him) and a salad (me) at Panera, so it wasn’t too overlly expensive.
Minniemize – I went for a 2 mile walk/jog followed by a 2 mile walk yesterday. I went fora 2 mile walk/jog followed by a 1 mile walk this morning and I’m about to use the Wii for a little while. I’m working at eating healthy. Yesterday at my doctor’s appointment my blood pressure was the lowest it’s been in 8 years!
Budget – After having a record week last week with $50 left over to add to my fund, this week will be a little bit tighter between doctor’s copay and copay for a new prescription for my asthma. Probably won’t have much of anything left to add to the fund at the end of this week. Oh well, as long as I stay within the budget, that’s something.
Decluttering – My mission between today and tomorrow is to bag up the clothes that I’ve been weeding out of my closet and drop them off at Salvation Army.
Vickie Jones says
Minimize
Been getting on my Wii for the first time in ages, in fact 4 days ago my Wii Fit told me it had been 530 days since I exercised, (UGH) today is aerobic’s and stregnth
Budget
It’s a new month and payday, last month I did really well using the enevelope method for grocrey’s, trying to convince Dh to move on too another catagory with it
DeClutter
School starts in 2 weeks here, need to sort through the school supply cabinet and get rid of some stockpile stuff that’s just not being used (goodwill) and make a list of what I do need for upcoming sales. with DH a teacher and the other 3 of us studetns we go through lots of basics plus I use allot of it for church stuff as well
Michele S says
I really like the de-clutter idea also. So I have decided to give that one a try. My house could really use the work!.
Tanya says
Minniemizing – I am starting a program today to start working towards my goal of running a 5k in August. I am not used to running so this should be interesting.
Declutter – I went in my daughter’s room and cleaned out her closet. I am going to pick one room a day to declutter and when I am done I am going to have a yard sale with the items I took out and then donate the rest to Goodwill.
Budget – I have sat down today and gone through all my bills and set up my budget. This challenge has just motivated me to do some things that I knew I needed to but have just not started till now.
Michele S says
Ok, my hubby and I are going on our first “solo” trip to Disney in September. No kids! Yikes! So I am going to try to Minniemize. It usually takes a few days for my tired feet to really get the hang of things. This time, I would like to be ready from day one.
Good Luck to us all. :-)
Christina says
No Dining Out: Yesterday we ate out for breakfast and lunch. :( All our stuff was getting packed up for our move, though, so we didn’t want to create dirty dishes. We had leftovers for dinner, though, so that was cheap and easy!
Budget Challenge: We, of course, paid for breakfast and lunch yesterday but we haven’t been spending anything extra lately so it wasn’t a budget breaker.
Decluttering Challenge: I guess the decluttering challenge has ended for me until we get our stuff to the new house and start unpacking. We have just some essentials for awhile now so there’s nothing to declutter!
Lisa says
Didn’t do the challenge last month, but have to start this month.
Going to WDW on the 27th for my husband’s R & R, so we need all the extra month we can get! Thankfully, the hotel and quick service meal plan is paid for, plus we are staying in the Wilderness Cabins, so eating the other meal not covered by the plan will be easy when we bring food from home!!!
My parenst will have the kids for a week, so the food bill will be lower, Ka-ching for the fund!!!!
Ordered a fitness DVD, should be here soon, will start ASAP!.
HAVE TO NOT EAT OUT!!!!!!!!! (this will be hard!)
heather h says
It was a long day so I had dh grab DelTaco for dinner, we did pretty well last month though!
Susan says
All right, I missed out on doing this for June so I am all in for the month of July!
I’m hoping posting to this challenge will be a sort of accountability nudge for me.
updates for the day later! ; )
Amy W says
No dining out:
I did stop and get something at Panera yesterday; I was celebrating finally getting to hear from my husband! :) He’s been doing survival training in Maine w/ the Navy, and he’s flying home tomorrow!
Minniemizing:
I babysat a sweet little 2-yr old for several hours. Surely I burned some calories doing that :)
Decluttering:
Cleaned the bathrooms and finished up laundry. Now, I’m going to go make my husband a red velvet cake and then clean the kitchen! :)
Budget:
This past month was crazy with both of us gone for almost half of it! I think we made it, but I’m not sure what all expenses the military will pay my husband back for yet. Paid rent, insurance, cable, and internet for July this morning.
Kelley says
Decluttering-cleaned out the car while on vacation.
Minimize-swimming in the pool, walking the beach.
Shannan says
Minnie- since I had back surgery in Nov. I’ve gained almost 15 lbs. I’ve got to lose that and get my strength back before we endure Disney again! I’m starting a 5 min walk, with 15 minutes of pilates (as per my physical therapist)
Declutter- starting in the boys room today, this ought to be easy, got 3 boxes in place!
tawna says
No Dining Out- Did awesome yesterday, even though I had to work late and when I finally got home, I burned the first batch of taquitos (glorified quesadillas made with leftovers)! Leftovers for lunch too! Oh and my boss gave me a prepaid coffee card! YAY!
Minnemize- Nada yesterday. BUT I did do Wii this morning! Woohoo!
Declutter- Another nada. Going to hurry and clean like crazy before the kids wake up, though!
Budget- Has been a CHALLENGE for June, we were SO BUSY! Looking forward to a quieter month! I’m working less for the summer, so less money; but no school either! Our big expense is gas- and we drive a sedan (hubby) and minivan (me)!
Allyson says
Eating out – We added up what we have been spending and it is over $300 a month on eatng out. This is a leak in the budget that we have got to plug up NOW! Thats $3600 in a year. Imagine what I could do with that!!!
Kristin of Couponing to Disney says
Disney Vacation! :)
Ann Marie says
I’m in this month….I’ve not formally participated in the past….but maybe this will be just the thing to keep me motivated. We don’t eat out much as it is….and one of the few perks of living in a small small town without drive thru restaurants. We did take a sack lunch to and from my sister’s in Augusta this past week, we would normally drove thru somewhere….so I am committed to do that again with any trips this month. It really was nice….not to have to stop….and with 4 kids and myself that saved atleast $50.00 just this trip : )
The heat is unbearable right now….but I will commit to 20 minutes on the stationary bike a day….will dig it out of the storage room today and place in living room : )
We also went cold turkey on processed chicken nuggets( a big deal for my eldest….8) about 3 weeks ago….and will continue forward with that this month : )
Need to work on the clutter as well….so here goes to the new month!
Serenity says
I started working out at the gym 3-4 days a week June 4th and I am cleaning and gardening other days, walking the dog. She loves the sunshine.
Budget – I am on it! Couponing like crazy, discounting and skipping places all together that I don’t have a coupon or discount for!
Carol says
Decluttering – worked on kitchen cabinets yesterday. I threw out all those half opened chip bags that have been in the back of the corner cabinet. You know the ones that fall off the turny thing and you can’t reach them….yep – all gone. I even found a pack of keebler cookies in the back! Didn’t tell the kids and ate a few as my reward for cleaning.
Tammy S says
Minniemize-getting ready to lace my shoes up right now for a morning run.
No dining-I am in on this one. the challenge will be getting hubby on board.
Shannon B. says
I found it wasn’t as hard to get my hubby going with this as long as I have a plan and dinner isn’t much past the time we would eat if we were to go out. I have a dry erase board on my fridge with the current weeks lunches and dinners posted so he always knows what’s to eat. Good luck with your hubby :)
cindy says
We are starting our funding for our trip in two years…I watch children in my home and we are starting to save so all the families can go and share the magic with everyone…
Shannon B. says
That’s so awesome! Good luck to you. You CAN do it :)
Amanda Red says
I am in for ALL FOUR!!
Dining Out- None… afternoon thunderstorms help us from going out!
Declutter- Straightened up the living room and threw away some junk- like the little shaker eggs my son took apart and the little beads were everywhere… ugh
Budget- Figured out our grocery budget for the month. We decided to have a cook out on Sunday for an early 4th of july celebration but it shouldn’t cost us too much because we have all the meat- just gotta get buns and some other things.
Minniemize- worked out my arms! AKA tossed my two year old in the air!!
Hoping for a great July!
Candice says
Budget – I reorganized the “structure” of my budget this month to make it more stockpile &/or bulk purchase friendly.
No Dining Out – Ate fantastic tuna salad sandwich overflowing with veggies for dinner instead of eating out.
Stephanie says
No Dining Out: When I told my husband this morning that we were officially starting a ‘no dining out’ challenge for the whole month of July, he looked at me like I’d lost my mind. LOL I’m determined though!
Minniemizing for the Mouse: I bit the bullet and weighed in this morning, to get my official starting weight. (OUCH! That hurt!)
Budget Challenge: Upon your advice, I went through our last six bank statements and tallied how how much we’ve been spending on grocery and fast food over the past six months. Oh…my…gosh! I had no idea we were wasting so much money! Since then, I have worked out our budget and I’m curious to see how this first month goes.
Decluttering Challenge: Today is my official start of “minnie-mizing”, so I decluttered my refrigerator and pantry. I removed all of the “red light foods” and I have them in a box, ready to be taken to Goodwill.
Kristin of Couponing to Disney says
The first weigh in is always the worst, I think. :(
MM says
NDO- nothing yesterday, had italian marinaded steaks, fresh corn, buttered noodles, and broccoli (store bought as the groundhog ate most of my plants- glad those two coonhounds I rescued are lounging in the sun instead of guarding my garden…LOL)
MtM- yesterday did about 4 hours of errands and running 8 totes full of stuff up and down the stairs. (see declutter)
Budget- spent 82.00 at grocery store and walmart total and made money at drug stores. spent 264.00 on a full size mattress for the little one’s bedroom. if i would have known at the time that the 4-in-1 crib purchased converted to a full size bed, i might have rethought the purchase. my little one’s room is pretty small, so it’s quite the cozy space now. mommy’s having trouble adapting to her “baby” being in a “big” bed! :)
declutter- took apart the crib (well hubby did that)…put in the mattress and got the bed together, removed the changing table (which was used as a bureau since we had bins in it) and the rocker/ottoman (since we can read together in the big bed). had to rearrange my room and closet to accommodate all of this stuff. we have no basement, attic, and the only closets we have are in the bedrooms (we remodeled a house made in the late 1890’s), so our room had to be rearranged, 8 totes of stuff were taken out and put in the shed and i’m glad to see it out of here…what a relief. now to prepare for 30 guests coming for our 4th of july picnic (and my little one’s birthday). :) oh wait…the birthday means more toys/items to find room for! :)
Denise says
Congrats on sticking to all 4 goals. Sounds like you are a winner today
Kristin of Couponing to Disney says
You’re doing great!
Denise says
No Dining Out: Brought in from home cereal and milk for breakfast to work. Lunch is leftover BBQ (new recipe-yummy)
Minniemizing for the Mouse: another morning of bootcamp. My abs are killing me
Budget Challenge: I am actually underbudget this week thanks to you. The kids sunglass deal at Rite Aid was a money maker. I have needed to color my hair for quite some time, once again thanks to you and your tips I got John Frieda Precision Foam Color for $1.99 at Target (Reg Price $11.99 / had a $5.00 manufacturer coupon and &5.00 target coupon = $1.99 deal). I used the matchbox car coupon this week and got my car for 12 cents…so I guess this means I have officially started my Xmas shopping:-)
Decluttering Challenge: taking on the dinning room. They may be a continuing saga :-)
Amy says
Yeah for a new month full of opportunities to save, tone, and clean!
MM….on the exercise bike now!
Sarah says
NO DINING OUT – We’re going on month 2 without dining out more than 1x a month. We will be going to our earth-fare for their $1- burger deal Sat., but at that price for a meal out, we can’t resist! And we’ll be doing that Chick-Fil-A meal out, but hey, that’s free! :o)
Kendra says

I got up and reorganized my kitchen cabinets this morning. Time to get rid of the gadgets I never got to work right (like my motorized cookie press) and get the pantry reorganized. I also have a big recycle bag full of food for our church’s food pantry–if I get that delivered, in addition to the Goodwill pile, I will have way over 25 items gone today!

My husband and I sat down last weekend and came up with a new budget since our newborn has thrown off our old one. =)
I managed to stay under in our dining out, grocery, and date/play money budgets this week. Time to make a deposit to our Disney fund!

No dining out for us…I threw a roast in the crockpot and it was ready by the time hubby got home from work!
