This is the Day 2 trip report from my friend Courtney. Go here to read Day 1.
We were excited for our first full day on the Disney Magic Cruise. We got up at 8, got dressed and went down to 3rd floor to eat a quick breakfast. The Princess’ where coming for a meet and greet at 9:30, and we didn’t want to stand in a long line. We got downstairs at 8:45 and the line was already 20 deep, so we broke up our group and two stayed in line. I took the younger two to Parrot Cay for a quick buffet breakfast. We then switched out with Steve and Chloe in line.
The princesses were right on time and very organized. We could have our pictures taken by Disney photographers, or we could take them ourselves. The princesses also signed our books. We did not feel rushed at all. Most of the little girls in line were dressed up in their Princess dresses…we were thankful we took ours and that our kids were dressed up as well.
Quickly after the meet and great, we took the kids to The Lab, one of the two choices for childcare, to make “Fubber.” Emma and Maci did not want to touch it and asked to go across the hall to The Club, to play instead, the cast members took them over and sent us a text letting us know what they were doing. Steve and I went to see Oz. We tried to go to the 2D thinking it would not be crowded, but it was packed. We quickly made our way to the 3D showing and it was wide open. The theaters were in two different parts of the ship.
After the movie, we went and picked up our kids and went back to the room to change to go swimming. We swam for a bit. Chloe did a video coming down the slide so you could see how fun it is.
We then ordered our lunch at one of the concession areas on deck 9. Kids wanted pizza, I had a burger, and hubby had a lamb wrap. We also got a fruit plate. My burger came with fries and there is an area where you can dress it with everything you want as well. We finished up lunch and made our way back to the room to change back into our clothes, as they will not allow wet swim wear in the childcare area. We dropped off the younger two girls to have story time with Snow White in the Club and Chloe went to Ratatouille Cooking school in The Lab where she make cookies.
Steve and I went to a FREE spin class on deck 9 in the fitness center. This was a 45 minute class and there were 4 others who joined us. This class was offered for FREE, but we had to sign up for it. Then Steve picked up the kids while I went back to grab a quick shower. This was our formal night for dinner and we all got dressed up. I wore a dress and wedges, Steve wore khaki’s and a polo top. Nothing too fancy. The kids were already in dresses. We had the option to have our photos taken in several staged areas on the 3rd floor before heading to dinner. The lines were long and we decided to skip doing this. This dinner was served in Parrot Cay. The food wasn’t any fancier then the day before, but it was fun dressing up a little.
After dinner we went back to our room and quickly changed the girls into their jammies and took them to childcare where we dropped them off to enjoy Pluto’s Pajama party. They got to decorate pillow cases to keep at this party. We picked them up at 8:25 so that we could make the Twice Charmed show in the theater. Everyone loved the show.
We returned back to our room and ordered chocolate chip cookies from room service after the show. They came within 10 minutes and then we called it a night. Each night upon returning after dinner, we had chocolates, a fun towel animal, and the Navigators (which tell everything that is happening on the ship the following day) on our bed. Our room was always kept nice and tidy!

It sounds like there are a ton of options for entertainment for the kids.

Was the movie FREE as you put it on the spin class or was there an extra charge for it?
Kristin says
The movies are all FREE on the ship! And the spin class was free as well. There are other classes that are NOT free though.
