In early 2015, I decided that I was drowning in clutter. We had so much stuff that had accumulated and I was ready to purge it from our lives. We had a series of yard sales from April – September and I got rid of over 2,015 items! And I made $2,314.25 off the yard sales in the process (that money went into a designated savings fund).
This year I am going to do it again. Less clutter, less mess! The goal this year is to purge 2,016 items from our home. To do that, we have to clean out approximately 6 items per day (it’s more like 5.5 per day, but it’s better to round up instead of down).
Even though it is the dead of winter, go ahead and start a box for yard sale items. I like to price my items as I place them in the box to make things easier on me. By spring when the weather warms up, you’ll have everything ready to go for your first yard sale!
Be sure to join my SavEars group on Facebook where we will be chatting everyday about the items we declutter!

We are planning to move this summer. I have already started the purge while getting the house sell ready. I have not counted the number of items though, but I’m sure I will hit this by the time I am through.
