I’ve mentioned before that I have the Disney Visa. For every $100 you charge, you get $1 to spend at Disney. We’ve been saving our rewards for a year and it’s finally time to cash them out and add them to the Disney fund!!!
$118 in Disney Reward Dollars.
$40 that husband earned by selling extra tickets he had to the Nascar race.
$14.32 in spare change.
$7 in rebates.
$2905.74 saved since June 1st! You can see all the previous deposits here.
I love my Disney VISA card too! Using my points, we got our Disney tickets free this January plus had enough left over to almost cover the cost of 3 nights in a value resort room. I do pay my card off every month, so I only charge what we can pay for. :)
Kristin – Just reading your blog and seeing your progress, I am SO happy for you! You had a goal and we all know you will make it! You have inspired me to start this same project once my Disneyland trip passes this June. CAnnot wait to read your “real time” posts about your trip!
Husband and I don’e do credit cards. This would be a nice perk though.
They have a Chase Disney Debit Card too but I haven’t looked into it that closely.
I am excited to see you so close as well.
WOW! You are getting so close. I’m so excited for you guys!!!!
We use the Disney card too and have almost $700 on it that will pay for our stay at Fort Wilderness next year. Yeah!
It does have a really high interest rate though so not worth it if you can’t pay off the balance every month for sure.
You also get 10% off at the big Disney store at Downtown Disney with it.
Sad to say we will only use ours one more month and then switch to WaWa Visa to get gas money Or Chase Freedom to get cash.
It will be our last Disney trip for a long while. I LOVE Disney but there is more of the world to see. :)
But soon you can go to Disney in Hawaii. And adventures by disney. LOL!
Way to go Kristin!
Your trip is coming up soon, it is exciting!
We have had the Disney VISA card since it came out. We put everything on there we can, even bills (we pay it off every month). We used it for our last trip and had $700. This time we have had more years to save and by next summer we will have close to $2,000. You also do get some extras at the park if you have the card. The best one is a free photo opt with the several of the characters. If you don’t get to go before points expire, you can redeem them and use them at the Disney Store too. I’ve used some for online purchases. I love the outlet! PJs Pals with our favorite characters for $2.99, are AWESOME!
I also just cashed out my Disney Rewards for $128!! I love free money!
I was thinking about getting the Disney Visa, but not sure…. do you use it for just reward points or do you get extras while at the park??
almost there!
That is awesome!
Way to go!!
sweet! doesn’t that feel awesome?
