Another week has passed since my last deposit into the Disney fund. I still haven’t had time to really sort through everything. (You should see the house! Ick!)
– $22.50 in miscellaneous rebates that I received while we were on our trip.
$22.50 added to the Disney fund. $59.50 saved since June 3rd!

My husband calls planning for Disney so soon after coming home – being bit by the Mouse. I am ususally planning the next trip before the one I am on ends.
Good for your savings this week! When are you planning to go back?
Kristin from Couponing to Disney says
We are going at the end of next May for sure. Maybe sooner, but that is the plan. :) My mother in law and nephew are going.

Almost $60 already! You’ve already paid for your kids’ Dining Plan for 3 days! So inspiring!

It would so helpful if you could share what rebates you submit each week.
Kristin from Couponing to Disney says
Will do!

This is one thing that I would love to see you posting about. Exactly what you bought, how much you paid for it, and the rebate you submitted for. I havent really done rebates much before and am just starting to. Would love to see what you are doing!

It’s coming. :D

You’re off to a great start! We save $50 a month from DH’s check for vacation. Not a ton but it helps!

So… out of interest how much is your aim for the year? How much do you need to average a week?
I am trying to get us out of all debt (except our mortgage) first and foremost but then would like to start saving for trips back to the UK (I live in Texas now with my husband) so I can visit my family. In the cost of your trip do you also allow for paying bills and things while you are gone?
Kristen @ Babe With a Budget says
That is a GREAT idea Lori! I’m totally copying that one!!
Christina says
Lori- I think that is an AWESOME idea!! I tried leaving a comment on your blog to say that but it wasnt letting me. Just know I will be following your blog now =)
lori says

AWESOME! I am so proud of you! I came up with an idea called “shaving off” where I round DH’s paycheck down to the whole $, not to exceed $10 and use that as a bi-weekly deposit. So if today’s check was $248.52, I would transfer $8.52 into our Disney Fund immediately before every tallying it into our account. I won’t exceed the $10.00 since we are on a budget. I think it’s a great idea, and every little bit helps… today we shaved off $7.56 for our Disney Fund! Thanks Kristin for your blog it is so inspirational!
