We decided to take a large jar we use to store pasta in and start putting every bit of change we could find in it. Kinda along the old saying of “Find a Penny, Pick it Up.” Every time we had dollar bills we spent we put the change in here.

When I was a kid my mom somehow or other ended up getting one of those glass gallon water jugs (similar to the plastic ones we use now from the water companies that deliver) and when she passed away I took it and that is what we started saving for Disney in. My hubby was working part time as a pizza delivery driver and all his change goes in there. I don’t believe how much we accumulate in just one month. For the longest time I would use masking tape on the side to see how much higher the change gets without taking the money out of the jug!
I have a gallon pickle jar with the top superglued on. We put all change and some dollars in a week.
I have 2 in my house.
I have a brown pig from Target ( it was supposed to be my daughters piggy bank) in the living area where hubby likes to empty his pockets :)
And the other is in our bedroom..its an old similac container, taped up and written on (UK FUND). In the closet, where I empty my pockets.
