Want to make a Mickey head cupcake but don’t want to spend money on Mickey shaped pans? My reader Joanne found a very frugal solution. Just put paper cups in the muffin tin and put marbles on the side to make the indentions so that the batter cooks in a Mickey shape!
Be sure to let us know how this turns out for your family!
(Thanks Joanne!)
love the idea but you would spend just as much on the glue dots. If you have them already use them, but don’t go out and buy them just for this. Glue dots are expensive! And you could ruin your pan!
Glue dots? They’re marbles.
My daughter is on Spring break and is looking for something creative to do! We’ll have Mickey/Minnie cupcakes!
very cute idea, going to have to try it. Thanks for the gift card, I emailed you my address.
OMG I am throwing a minnie mouse party for my three year old this weekend and it could not come in perfect timing. Thanks for the frugalness. I will let you know how it turns out on my pilot set of cupcakes.
I’ve done this before – it really works!
That’s great!
We are having a minnie bday in June. I’ll definitely try this out!
Where was this post last October when we had a Mickey themed Birthday party?! I’m still going to use it, maybe a special treat soon.
OMG!!! My son’s third birthday party is this coming Saturday and it’s a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme!! I just may have to attempt this!!
I bet he would love it!
Very clever!
Ok- this is too freaking cute! <3
