We did Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends in 2003, a long time ago I know. However, it was the most wonderful, fabulous breakfast ever!! My daughter had just turned 3, we had a large group. We booked for about 10:45am which was great because we were one of the last ones before the change over for lunch. The food and service was fabulous. The characters were above and beyond. When we were done eating we were the last ones there and got LOTS of extra “attention” from the characters. I would highly recommend it and would do it again.
We’re going in Sept 2012 booked and ADR @ 8:10am! Can’t wait :) Gonna love the family photos in an empty park…..
We had breakfast here in May 09 and we were not impressed. The buffet didn’t seem to have a lot on it compared to other buffets @ WDW. I do not recall the character interaction being all that great either, however, I do remember being seated quickly. We won’t do this one again.
Have gone here for lunch and dinner. Mu advice…go for lunch. It’s cheaper and it’s pretty much the exact same thing for dinner! Food here is pretty good, but it’s a buffet. The only real buffet I like at Disney is Boma’s. There is very good character interaction here as well.
We just returned from a trip to Disney and we ate at Crystal Palace for the first time. It was a great experience. We had a reservation at 8:15 and the park didn’t open until 9am so we got to go into the park early. We got some amazing pictures of our family in front of the castle with no one behind us. That alone was worth it to me. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation time. Our waitress was very sweet and was great with our 2 year old. The characters were very attentive and it took about an hour for all 4 (Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eyeore) to come by them table. The food was also very good. It was standard breakfast foods but the standouts for us were the puffed french toast, vegetable frittata and potatoe casserole. I think I would come back for the puffed french toast alone. I highly recommend this experience!
Loved our breakfast here. We prefer the very first adr of the day-8:05 for when the MK opens at 9am. Pictures of our family on an empty Main St turned out fantastic. Interaction with Pooh and the gang(esp Tigger with my teen boys) were fun. Try the puffed french toast and breakfast lasagna. Ask for the check when you are seated so as to make it rope drop.
We ate at Crystal Palace on our Honeymoon. They took very pretty confetti and sprinkled it out in the shape of a heart on our table- it made me feel REALLY special! Then we got to see Tigger, Pooh and the whole gang and have our pictures taken with them!
The food isn’t spectacular at all, you go here for the beautiful dining room and the characters. I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything, but I wouldn’t pay that much to eat here again, definitely.
We went for the first time this year for dinner. I love Winnie the Pooh. But we had reservations and still waited forever in the off-season! The food wasn’t that great. We would have been better off with a counter service.
We were just at Disney for the first week of September and did 9 character meals. We had dinner at the crystal palace. Even with reservations we waited a good 25 minutes to be seated. The character were nice but very slow to come around — we had finished eating and had to wait for Piglet to finally come over. Service was just ok and the food was awful. The worst character meal we had at Disney. Left hungry. Would not recommend and won’t be back. Desserts were even bad.
We ate at Crystal Palace last year. My kids loved it! I was surprised as I thought my 7 and 9 year old boys would be “over” the Pooh characters. I was wrong! The kids all loved it and the food. The boys even tried the muscles and found that they were big fans. I say yuck, but my husband loves them. It was a memorable experience between the food being great, interaction was lengthy, and they brought us some Anniversary cupcakes to top it off. I would definitely go back!
Love the atmosphere here, the characters and their little parade is so cute. It’s also in a great location in that you can see the castle from many seats. This restaurant is on our must do each trip, my kids love it.
Look at Emily! Cutie pie. We enjoyed this restaurant. Our daughter got to see all of the characters twice (as they made their rotations) and they were very accommodating. Of course they can’t stay long b/c the restaurant is so big and full of people. The food was good and a great variety, but our 2-yr-old refused to eat. I think it was just sensory overload. Full restaurant, but never a line for the buffet. We went last Sept.
We had breakfast at Crystal Palace in January 2011 and loved it so much that we’ll be dining there again for our trip in January 2012! We had ADR, so when we checked in at the desk we only had to wait about 10 minutes for our table to be ready; it was pretty crowded for 9am on a Friday morning I thought! Our server was wonderful and even asked if we’d like the apple juice for our daughter “cut” with water. The food was DELICIOUS and my husband still talks about how good everything was. My daughter, who had just turned 1, was a little bit intimidated by Pooh and the gang, but they were still able to interract with her and we got some great photos. I would definitely recommend CP to anyone looking for a great character meal!
This is our familys “must do” resturant. We love the atmosphere, my 3 kids loved the parade with pooh and the gang round the resturant and the food is delicious. The salmon is so good and the carrot cake mmmm. We love to have supper here, recharge then head back out for more rides and fireworks.
I have fond memories of eating at the Crystal Palace before it became a character meal spot. I’m not that “into” Pooh, but I still hope to get back someday with my kids, because it was so lovely inside–like being in a glass garden.
The Crystal Palace is a must do for our family whether we are on the Dining Plan or not. My son grew up with the Winnie the Pooh characters so when he saw them life size and in person at the age of 2.5….well it was pure Disney Magic. Not only was it magical from the perspective of a 2.5 year old but from a parents point of view to see their child’s eyes light up and widen with joy to see Pooh and Friends.
Kudos:
* having all 4 – Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore all in one location. It takes about one hour for all 4 characters to go around. Be patient, they all come to your table in rotation.
* breakfast and dinner buffet food was plentiful, had variety, and was quite good. There is something on the buffet for everyone (kids, adults, vegetarians, need a sweet tooth fix, fresh fruit, etc.)
* air conditioned
* inside the Magic Kingdom. You can see Cinderella’s Castle through the restaurant window.
* once you and your family are done with your meal you are right in the middle of Magic Kingdom central to start enjoying the park again
* wait staff and servers are exceptional – (and mind readers ;-) The restaurant staff is are used to children- lots of children who can be cranky at times – so they go out of their way to make sure a child’s needs are met so that your table can enjoy a meal. This is worth its weight in gold. My waitress knew we had waited almost an hour to get our table and could see my 2.5 year was throwing a tantrum and making a ruckus. She immediately asked how she could help diffuse the situation and make him happy. I looked up from my contorted 2.5 year old on the floor and saw an angel. All I could muster was the word “french fries.” In seconds she was back with a plate of fries and ketchup. My angelic child immediately got up off the floor and quietly ate this fries while dunking them in ketchup. Now the rest of the family was able to enjoy the meal and Character experience. Every time we have been to the Crystal Palace we have had the same exceptional and amazing service from the staff
Drawbacks:
Even with a reservation we have had to wait up to 45-55 minutes for our table. This can make it tough when planning
* as you don’t want to go too far away from the restaurant and possibly lose your place in line – because everyone in your party needs to be seated at once – so boredom sets in. You plan for boredom for long car rides, etc but one usually does not for adventure filled Disney. Boredom can lead to some unpleasant behavior in children. Now we just plan better with our 2.5 year old.
*planning snacks vs meal. Delayed dinner might mean giving in to a snack; however, one does not want to give the kiddies too many snacks as they won’t eat their dinner. Where to find the meal vs snack line might be challenging.
Our family loves the Crystal Palace. It’s our number one choice for character dining whenever we go to WDW. The food is good and plentiful and the characters have fun little parades a couple of times every hour. We tend to go for breakfast because the prices are a bit cheaper and its a great way to get your energy up for the parks.
The food was kind of bland compared to other character buffets, way to much butter in the grits. On the up side the characters were interactive, the theme was pleasant, and it’s in magic kingdom so you don’t have to make an extra stop at a resort. However I felt 1900 parkfare, although only having pooh and tigger, was a much better experience both in food and characters.
We’ve had both breakfast and dinner at the Crystal Palace. I loved how the characters made you feel so welcomed there. Both breakfast and dinner provide a variety of food as it is a buffet. Sometime you will have to time when you get up to get your food so that way you wouldn’t miss the characters as they come by. Although I must say the staff there does a wonderful job of making sure you get to see Winnie the Pooh and friends.
I will say we like to book early for breakfast, it gives you some awesome pictures of the Magic Kingdom and practically no one is around. And we also like to book about 1 and 1/2 hours prior to closing, the restaurant is not as full, you also get a little bit more time with the characters, plus AMAZING night time shots of the castle, and down main street.
When we took our kids for the first time to Disney in 09 Crystal Palace was our first meal, and it was wonderful! We did the Lunch buffet for that trip and in August we had dinner and it was just as good as the first time! This is now one of our must do places!!
we ate here back in 07. our reservation was for dinner. not really impressed. characters were sparse. food was nothing great. kids were not impressed. kind of disappointed. was hoping for all around better experience.
We have been to this restaurant on each of our family visits to Disney World. This is the best of all the character dining meals. This restaurant is my daughter’s personal favorite. It doesn’t feel as crowded as other character dining restaurants and the characters seem to take more time with your family personally. Tigger proposed to me here!!! I’m not a fan of character dining (the kids are!!!) but this is the one I would recommend over all the others.
We usually do the Crystal Palace every 12-18 months. The selection on the buffet is aways excellent. Not only to they have familiar items but I always find something “New” that I’ve never had before…….. and the desserts!!! mmmmmmmm My dd(14) is very picky and she always finds something that suits her as well. I really enjoy the characters at this buffett. Last year when we were there Tigger went out of his way to make sure that everyone got to see the characters, They thought they had seen everyone and were parading out of the room but one little girl had been at the buffett and missed her picture op. Tigger tapped Eeyore and they headed over- after a few seconds the other characters saw what was going on and trooped back over for a “performance” right at her table!
The Crystal Palace is always a special treat for our family. We go for the late morning breakfast, opting for a small snack before we leave the room to tide us over. We eat so much since it is buffet style and is all-you-can-eat. There is something on the menu for everyone.
Our most memorable visit was the year we took our daughter, Megan, there for her birthday. We had booked the trip at the last minute and had a hard time getting rooms thru Disney Vacation Club, so we resort hopped a few times that week. Megan got her birthday cupcake and everyone sang happy birthday. The waiter was AWESOME. He teased her by singing some crazy coconut tree song instead of happy birthday. The whole restaurant laughed and Megan blushed happily:)
Not only that, but Disney sent her a cluster of balloons to our room for her birthday. Only the waiter was told it was her birthday and they had to track our reservation because we moved to another resort that night. Yet, they persisted and the balloons arrived a couple of days after her birthday, but it was touching that she wasn’t just another face in the crowd. Crystal Palace ranks as one of the busiest on property, but they took time to make her day special.
My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon a couple weeks ago. We spent 8 magical days at the Disney World Resort. Our first night we had reservations for the Crystal Palace and it was our favorite dining experience! We loved the Mickey confetti sprinkled on the table. The food selection was perfect. My husband, the adventurous eater, and me, the picky eater, both got our fill. Our waitress gave us excellent service even offering coffee after our dinner and to top it off she brought us a cupcake with two candles and card signed by Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore. She even had Tigger come out and help us blow out our candles then we posed while she took our pictures. We were able to get a photo taken with every character and we had a blast! I will definitely be making reservations there again on our next trip!
We’ve been to the Crystal Palace twice, and we have LOVED it both times. The characters are great, how can you not love to see Pooh and Piglet! The food is good and they have a pretty good variety. One of the best restaurants at Magic Kingdom.
We ate there this August. 10 of us at 8 am. My only regret is that we waited so long to book this place! Really good food. We were dotted very quickly. The characters came to us first… And came back again! Waitress was good. We really enjoyed the experience.
My kids love Crystal Palace. It has a great variety of food and the pooh gang is great. Great dinner experience!!
Crystal palace was a wonderful experience for us. We typically avoid buffet dinners (they gross me out lol) but this one was awesome. It was extremely clean gotta love disney standards and had tons of choices. Even the pickiest of eaters would surely find something they’d eat. The characters were wonderful and actually made our son (he was 21 1/2 at the time) eat his dinner. He’d get so excited to see the next character that he’d rush to eat a few bites so he was ready for the next character to come by. The only drawback was our reservation was for 8:15pm, we checked in at 8 and weren’t seated until 8:50. Our already antsy toddler just wanted to eat. Everywhere else we’re seated pretty much at our reservation time but this one seemed to be running a little slow. The one upside to having to wait so long was that we were one of the last reservations for the night so the characters came by our table multiple times and were able to stay and joke around longer with us. What’s really funny about this whole experience is that when I made our reservation online I thought I was making it for 815 am not pm so we’d go for breakfast. Kinda glad it worked out the way it did, we had a great night and will definitely go again next trip :)
When it comes to the Crystal Palace I have to say- not worth it!! We were disappointed by the food (typical buffet food), the price (not worth it for the food- too pricey), the atmosphere (because of how the seating is, it is VERY crowded and noisy) and the character experience. The character experience was rushed and my husband and I were nervous about missing a character when we had to wait in the LONG buffet line! One stayed back with our toddler while the other waited in line. I missed seeing him with Eeyore because I was waiting in line. :( We had a MUCH better experience with Winnie The Pooh characters at Animal Kingdom and at the U.K. section at Epcot.
We ate here for the first time in May of this year. Absolutely loved it! The food was wonderful and the characters, especially Tigger were terrific! We ate breakfast there and you just can’t beat the selection of meat, sweets, breakfast staples like eggs, fruit… I’m making myself hungry just thinking of it. Definitely a must for even the pickiest of diners! It’s also amazing to see an empty park if you get a ressie before the park opens.
Just ate here three weeks ago…a family favorite. We have eaten at the Crystal Palace before, and were going to try something different this time. On the last day at MK, we decided to try to get a reservation. We got in just as the lunch serving hours began. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all, so the characters spent more time at each table. Loved that Piglet made my 12-year-old get up and dance between the tables!
We enjoyed a family breakfast there, again, on our trip to WDW Sept 2011. There were four of us, all adults. Crystal Palace TRULY makes you feel welcome, throughout the entire dining experience: from being greeted at the door, to your server pouring you fresh OJ from a carafe, to the Cast Member w the characters insuring quality time w each guest, it is ALWAYS a magical experience! We enjoy the variety that is offered in the breakfast buffet, from fruit selection to the famous Mickey Waffles! We ALWAYS try to go at an 8-8:15a breakfast time when MK opens at 9a!
My family always plans a stop at Crystal Palace when we are in Magic Kingdom. The food is very good and having Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore for the kids is great! It is an easy going buffet meal that includes kid fare like chicken fingers but also carving stations for the adults. You can get reservations pretty easily – even same day since people often cancel or change plans when they are in the parks. It’s a great place to cool off, relax, and rehydrate for more fun! We have also gone so we finished our meal right as the fireworks were starting and the front of the restaurant is a great viewing spot!
Crystal Palace is a must do every time. My 12 year old calls it the Piglet Buffet and still insist we eat there every trip. This last trip it was 3 adults and a 12 year old that ate there and we still had a blast!
Oh and we always get the 1st ressie so we can walk down and get our pics taken on an empty main street. =)
Crystal Palace tops my list of favorite places to eat while in Disney World. The characters are amazing, the food is really good and the service is always excellent.
Very pretty restaurant but very loud. It was hard to hear ourselves talk. The buffet was okay, nothing special but there were plenty of options to choose from. The dessert bar was pretty good, my kids liked doing their own soft serve ice cream and toppings. Characters were cute, but we aren’t huge Winnie the Pooh fans. If you or your children are, it is the best place to see them. The characters were very interactive with the kids (even though they can’t talk ) and all the kids loved bouncing with Tigger!
Also forgot to mention, we were over 45 minutes late for our reservation because we waited in line so long to see Tinkerbell. They were very accommodating and still seated us within 10 minutes. This was in October though, but it was Columbus week so somewhat busy.
We love Crystal Palace! The food is great, plenty of choices for adults and kids! It’s also great to make an earlier breakfast reservation so you can enter Magic Kingdom before it’s open, a great chance for a family photo in front of the castle!
We eat here every year! It has a great variety of food that even accommodates the pickiest of eaters. The mood and atmosphere in the restaurant is great. The younger children are allowed to participate in a parade around the restaurant, and although my kids have outgrown it, it’s still fun to watch the other little ones. It seems like we always get special service here. I have to maintain a Gluten Free diet and the chef always makes an effort to bring me a great gf dessert. One time we ate here with my parents and they brought out decorated cupcakes and a signed celebration certificate for them for their anniversary. We just always have a great experience here and will keep coming back year after year!
We had breakfast at Crystal Palace (we being my two sons, my husband and me) once last trip. It was good fun! The food was mediocre to good (the scrambled eggs were the exception, they were perfectly done) and the character interaction was fantastic (Pooh spent ages with my boys, it was awesome). I would recommend this as a good breakfast option, particularly if you book a time before park opening as you’re already at the end of Main Street if you’re done with your meal before official opening! Bonus!
We have eaten here many times and it is one of our families’ favorites. We have always had really good character interaction, and the kids love marching around in the parade. We have only eaten lunch and dinner here. The food is really good, there is a big variety. Kids always love picking out all the desserts! The only negative I would give this restaurant is that there always seems to be a very long wait, no matter what time you get there,so just plan for it.
Great food and a wonderful view of the castle! We really enjoyed our breakfast here and the buffets are always great for kids. I felt that the characters were very engaging and my kids loved dancing around with Pooh and the gang!
I’ve dined at Crystal Palace three times now… had breakfast twice, and most recently had lunch (earlier this month). Lunch was ok, but I prefer the breakfast there. The selection on the lunch buffet was nice. The cous cous salad and Mediterranean salad on the cold buffet were really good. The dessert bar had a TON of variety and all were very yummy… chocolate cannoli, strawberry shortcake, banana tarts.
Ate at Crystal Palace on our last trip in December. Not one I probably feel the need to go back to though. The food was good, but we waited a long time for our reservation to get called and the characters kept getting sidetracked. My husband had to talk to the people with the characters 2 times because we saw they had skipped out table and the characters had to be brought back. One family waited about 20 minutes to leave because one of the characters missed their table and it took that long for someone to get them back. THere was a little parade with the characters, but it wasn’t done terribly well. It was nice, but there were a lot more disappointments with this one than any others we did.
I loved it there and strangely enought, it was the only place lacking in guest experience for our trip in 1998. Character interaction was wonderful!
This was our first character experience..our first full day in Disney. It was absolutely wonderful! This was my husbands favorite character meal. The food was very good, our server was awesome, and the characters were so great. My little girl wore her piglet ears that day, we have some fantastic pictures of her interaction with piglet. She was seven so she knows that they are not real, but it didn’t matter she had a lot of fun. She also carried her tigger purse all week, so Tigger made a big deal when he saw that. We will be doing this again our next trip…I will have to remember the 8 am tip.
We LOVE the Crystal Palace! We ate there on our trips the last two years. There was something for all of us on the buffet and the kids really enjoyed getting to parade around with the characters. I would really recommend that you get reservations and try it out!
We did the breakfast buffet at Crystal Palace and we enjoyed it. It was really crowded when we ate there early am like at 8 but they had the 2 characters that hadn’t made it to our table come and see us which was nice before we left!
We ate the Crystal Palace in 2006, our entire family enjoyed it! All three children loved the interaction with the characters, my husband loved the food, and I loved the building and watching my family smile when the characters come to our table. When we planned our big family vacation this March ( a celebration of a very rough year for our family), I knew I wanted to eat at the palace again. Again this year, everyone enjoyed the characters, the food, the ambiance. I have many, many pics of my three children (hubby too) with their favorite characters! By the way, my children are now 18, 15, and 14! And they loved, loved, loved getting their pics taken with the characters- truly magical!
I loved the Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. I thought this was the best charecter dinning experience of our trip. We had reservations at 3:30 PM. IT was before the rush and we saw: all of the charecters.
This is a must for us every year the dinner is awesome and my son even at ratitoulle there! We are going this year for breakfast before the park opens up! At 8:15 should be so cool!!!!!
We loved the breakfast at Crystal Plaza. The food was excellent. We were able to see all the Winnie-the-Pooh characters and get photos with them. Some of our greatest memories were from that breakfast!
we ate at crystal palace on our first trip in 2007. our rservation was for dinner, and i really don’t feel that we got to experience this wonderful restaurant to the fullest. we had bee sick in our resort room for 3 days with food poisoning (thank you outdoor mexican restaurant in epcot). so, when we got there for our final meal at the park before we left the next morning, we were all feeling a little out of sorts and not much into food. our wait staff was great and they felt really bad that none of us had much of an appetite. the characters came over and visited with my girls, and we got photo cards from them all! i was very excited to dine here, especially on our last day as a kind of a great end to a wonderful trip. but, i will definately give the crystal palace a great review! the food was good, service was great, characters were awesome! would love to go back again and give it another try!!!
We went here last September because we wanted to eat in MK, since dd was 1 we thought it would be fun for her. We sat out in the heat forever because dh missed our name being called and our waiter was horrible came to our table once at the beginning and then we had to track him down to get the check. The food was ok and the characters were great around the baby. We would go back but its not at the top of our list.
We ate here on our first family trip to Disney about 8 years ago. We really enjoyed the restaurant, the food was very good, and my kids enjoyed the parade and meeting Pooh and Co. Now that 3 of my 4 kids are considered “adults” at Disney, we don’t do character meals but I would recommend Crystal Palace. We ate lunch here and find that’s the best time of day for our family to have a sit down meal. So nice to take a break and rest those weary feet for awhile. :)
We loved seeing the characters and the food. The one thing that we didn’t like is that we were seated really close to another table. With a toddler and a 19 month old we really needed some extra space. I was afraid that my children would end up getting food on the people next to us. I realize that the tables are close so that they can accomodate more people.
We did have some cute moments there though. My 19 month old little girl got mac and cheese on Pigglet and so Pigglet grabbed our napkins and started wiping my little girls face off and then wiped off himself. Then my 3 yr old saw the other children getting the characters autographs and unfortunately we hadn’t bought him a book for signatures. So he had them sign his magnetic pad. Both Tigger and Pooh thought that was funny. They signed their names then erased it.
We did lunch here in mid-December 2010. We did 4 character meals during the week: CRT, CP, Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club, and Play & Dine at Hollywood & Vine. Crystal Palace was probably my least favorite of the ones we did, even though it was still good. The wait to be seated was CRAZY. Our res was at like 1:30 and we weren’t seated until well after 2, which was pushing my 3yo into nap time by the time we were finished eating. We were struggling to keep her awake at the table and the food was okay, not the best in the “world.” It also took longer for all the characters to make their rounds here than it did at the other restaurants. I’m not sure if we’ll go back on our next trip. I’d like to try some new places although I would recommend CP for anyone with preschoolers that like Pooh, just maybe try breakfast and don’t be surprised at the wait.
Our family loves to eat the Crystal Palace. We usually do a late lunch/early dinner reservation. My children LOVE the characters and the parade. I have never been there for breakfast, but I may have to try that out next time.
I’ve eaten here in April 2005, August 2009, December 2010, and will be again in 4 weeks !!! I’ve only eaten breakfast here, but I love it so much, especially the Pooh’s Puffed French Toast in the Pooh’s Corner buffet area for kids. lol
We had dinner here on our last trip and I thought it was ok – not my favorite, but not bad either. The parade around the restaurant was fun and the characters were fun but the kids aren’t into Pooh and Friends as much as some of the other characters. I am thinking of trying to do breakfast here on our next trip – I would love to get into MK early to get uncluttered castle photos and now that I have read about the wonderful cinnamon french toast, my mouth is watering :)
OK, let me first say that this is only an opinion! I went to crystal palace in 2009 because i absolutely adore eeyore. we had resi for 6:45 and by the time we got seated it was almost 8:00 i feel like this was too long to wait, it was during a freak heat wave so perhaps they were having problems?? who knows?? the food was ok but not as good as other places in WDW. the characters kept skipping over us, so finally i asked for a manager from our very tired waitress(it was very busy/HOT) she sent him over and we explained it to him. he said that sometimes this happens because of the table we were at. that is where they are supposed to start when making their rounds and end when finished. but not to worry he would send them over. i said thanks and a few minutes here they come… we got our pics!!! yeah!!
would still like to try it for B-fast as i have heard the food is much better and i can imagine the characters aren’t as hot inside those costumes.
We went to CP on our Dec. 2010 trip for breakfast and loved it! You can’t beat the beautiful atmosphere along with great food and the characters. My 4 and 2 year old boys love it and when I ask them where their favorite place was to eat, they always yell Crystal Palace. They liked it better than Chef Mickey’s. I already have breakfast booked again for our Sept. trip. Can’t wait!
We loved Crystal Palace. The food was awesome and the characters were so much fun. We are going again in September and can hardly wait!!
I really enjoyed The Crystal Palace. We ate an early dinner there. The food was pretty good. I loved the parade and the interaction of the characters with us. One of my favorite pictures ever comes from us dining there! I will definitely be going back on our next Disney trip!
The cinnamon sugar french toast is THE BEST food on the buffet.
I have been here for both breakfast and lunch, and we love it! We had lunch here a few weeks ago, and my dad was just saying he would go even without the characters it is so good. We had an early lunch seating (like 11:30), and we saw all the characters but Pooh right away (Pooh got to us when we got our food). Everyone had a great time, and we ended up seeing the characters 2-3 times. The food is great, atmosphere is great, characters are great. Totally worth it!! :)
*kids could CHOOSE from purple and green slices of bread. Darn you, auto-correct!! LOL
Four years ago, we went to Disney for a whole week. I made reservations for 1 meal per day at a different restaurant. This way, we could try several different ones on this trip. We ate lunch at the Crystal Palace, and we LOVED it! We did have a slight wait, even with reservations, but it was worth it! The kids really loved seeing all the Winnie the Pooh characters, and they came around several times. The buffet food was awesome. Kids could cheese from purple and green slices of bread to make PB and Js. The adults could choose anything from pizza to grilled fish. I HIGHLY recommend their corn pudding. It was awesome! We told them it was our younger son’s birthday, and Winnie and friends came to the table to sing! They brought him out a cupcake and autographed card. It really made him feel special! At the end of the meal, they did the character parade around the restaurant, and the kids were so excited to participate. It was a little pricey for us, but we would definitely go, again!!
Crystal Palace is one of our favorites. My husband and I went on our honeymoon. We took our little girl when she was 6 months old -too little to eat, but LOVED the characters:) We took her again at two and a half. She still loved the characters AND the food (and it was free because she was under three.) We are going in November. Princess will be four and a half and little prince will be 13 months. The characters are wonderful. They take up lots of time with the kids. The food has always been great. We make dinner reservations, but I’ve heard breakfast is good, too.
We ate at the Crystal Palace in 2007 during my daughter’s Make a Wish trip. Talk about a wonderful experience. My daughter was in a wheelchair and had a very hard time moving the cast members and the characters were great they went above and beyond to make sure she had a life changing experience! The food was great also!!! I would rate the A++++.
This was our first character dinner on my daughter’s first trip when she was 4. We went early and got in before the park opened. That in itself was magical! Loved this dinner and would definitely do it again. :)
We had breakfast at Crystal Palace on our first morning at Disney. It was a great way to start the week! The food was good, but not outstanding. Our character interaction was nice, but nothing out of the ordinary (well, for Disney) because we all a bit shy and we didn’t really know how to react to the whole meeting characters thing. I do think Tigger, Pooh, and Eeyore are great first characters for the little ones (and big ones – kids and adults) to meet. I would definitely recommend CP to others, and it is on our list of do-agains.
We LOVE this restaurant. My kids are 13, 11, and 7 and they request this one every year! We celebrated my daughter’s 10th birthday at Disney so they gave her the birthday button to wear when she arrived. Well she wore it ALL week. When we had dinner at Crystal Palace, they treated her like royalty (and it wasn’t her actual birthday). They brought her a birthday card signed by all the Pooh characters. The way they treated her was better than the place that we actually went on her birthday (Chef Mickey). We always do dinner and really enjoy the selections. We will definitely do it again.
We were just there! We went over spring break a few weeks ago. I was fortunate to get res last minute. We had 3:35 time and it actually was a great time. The kids saw the char first and then ate, which by then was 4:30ish and they were ready to eat dinner. I loved NO LINES, they just come right to you. I had no plans to stand in lines, and my husband understand once we did this dinner. We ended our 2 day of fun with a Chef Mickey at 9pm. I know it sounds crazy, but Char Dinner to end your trip is a treat. It was perfect. Would I do it again, yes.. but I’d try for other places first. I am a newby after all!
We loved this breakfast and I thought the food was really good! I LOVE the French Toast! It’s very reminiscent of the French Toast they served a long time ago at Chef Mickey’s, deep fried covered with cinnamon and sugar. Not good for you at all, but SO GOOD!
My first experience with this character dining experience was with my 2 year old son. He was THE PERFECT age for this. It’s great for Pre-schoolers who are still into these types of characters. The characters have a “Pooh Parade” around the restaurant and it’s really cute. We have some great pictures and great memories from my son’s experience there. He LOVES Pooh!
I highly recommend this character dining experience for those with little ones.
We also ate at The Crystal Palace and our children (4, 2 1/2) had a great time. The variety of food was great and there were great “kid foods” for the little ones. The characters were great and spent a good amount of time at the table to get some great pictures. We are going back to Disney in July and we are eating there again.
We visited the Crystal Palace in October 2009. Our girls had a blast. ALL of the characters were fantastic. We were there for lunch and they had a great selection on the buffet. My family has allergies and the chef was at our table within 3 minutes of being seated. He took us through the entire buffet line and told us specifically what items each person could eat and should avoid. The seating was comfortable and well spaced out. The wait was about 20 minutes past our reservation. We would definitely visit there again!
We ate at the Crystal palace when we went on our honeymoon in 2004. I love Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, so this was a must! Yes, it was just the two of us (as in two grown adults) but of course, at Disney, meeting the characters was like being a kid again for the both of us. It was very crowded when we went for dinner at 7 PM, but with our reservation we got seated right away. This restaurant was FANTASTIC! They make sure all the characters come to your table and spend ample time getting pictures with you. It’s nice to have something like that, because then you don’t spend all your time tracking them down in the park at character greeting spots! The food was good, and they had a great selection for all, including my very very picky husband. The nicest part was the interaction between the characters and all of the people. They also saw that we were newlyweds so “Eeyore and all his friends signed” a cute little certificate for us as a souvenier. It would be a great place to take kids and will definitly be a place I book when we take our 2 children that we now have there!!!
We went here for lunch on our last visit to Disney. It was Fabulous!! The characters were great the food was out of this world!!! Will be having lunch there again on our next trip..
We LOVE the crystal palace!!! It is great food and such a good time for the kids. The last time we were there we ate during the fireworks, so everyone was outside watching them and we had the whole resturant to ourselves. Tigger came and sat down at the table with us and Pooh came over several times. Great time to have all the chacarters to yourself!!!
We went to the Crystal Palace Breakfast on our trip in 2003. We loved it! The breakfast was great – the buffet was good and plentiful. What I loved most though (and I think that this is why people go) is that the characters were awesome! We love winnie and co. anyway but they were so attentive and very funny. My brother who is too cool for school kept getting smothered by Tigger – it was so so funny. It was like he knew that my brother did not want to be seen with characters! Worth the price for the experience.
We love Crystal Palace and it is one of our must do’s because we love Pooh & the gang. The food always pleases everyone in our crowd and it’s a great stop while at the MK.
Crystal Palace is a tradition for my husband and I.
We ALWAYS have an early breakfast there on our first “full” day at “the world”.
I like to get an 8am or 830am reservation so I get to take in Main Street without the crowd
