Update: This restaurant is now a character experience.
The Disney Dining Experience at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge is amazing. We ate here on one of our past trips and it was incredible! The waitress was so nice and took such good care of us. I loved the cheese platter and the cobbler. It was amazing.
Tidbit: Even though this restaurant is located at a resort, anyone can eat here. If you are driving, just let the gate keeper know you have a dining reservation and he will let you park. If you are taking Disney transportation, you will need to take a bus from your resort to a park or Downtown Disney and then transfer to the bus for the resort where the meal is located.
Dining Plan:
This is a table service restaurant. You will use 2 table service credit when you dine here. Reservations recommended.
Meals offered:
Dinner – Entrees include Wild King Salmon, Alaskan Black Cod, Lasagna Casserole and more. Make sure you get the Cobbler. It’s delicious!
Character Dinner Experience:
Enjoy a Character Dining Experience, named Storybook Dining. This character dining experience is inspired by Walt Disney’s, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” with an enchanted forest feel, offered for dinner. Music and activities and meet & greets create an immersive character dinner.

Weird it said my comment didn’t post, well I’ll write it again! This was my husband’s favorite restaurant hands down. A failed attempt at eating at California Grill led us to Artist Point, and boy are we glad that it did! The food was excellent, as in I can’t believe the magic happening in my mouth right now kind of excellent. The wine was good my husband says the beer was very enjoyable. The staff were amazing. The appetizers were the best we’ve had any where which made up for the desserts that fell a bit short. And the sea salt butter! I can not explain you’ll just have to try it for yourself. This meal comes in at 2 service meals per person so it’s no cheap date, but my husband and I enjoyed it so much we came back the next night and ordered the same thing!
My husband’s favorite restaurant without question. A failed attempt at getting to eat at the California Grill led us to Artist Point, and boy are we glad that it did! The food was excellent, as in I can’t believe the magic that is happening in my mouth right now excellent. The staff was great, the wine was satisfying and the buffalo steak had my husband salivating. The appetizers were the best we have had any where and made up for the desserts that fell a little flat. This costs 2 table service meals so you will be paying for this great meal, but we liked it so much we came back the next night to have the same thing again!
On my dh’s first trip to disney, we stayed at wilderness. We went to eat at Artist point and fell in love. From the cedar plank salomn to the mushroom soup- you can’t go wrong! We were the last people in the restaraunt that night and our server insisted that we stay for desert. “It’s your vacation”. Which made me feel truly indulged (and guilty for closing the place down!) Not only did we discover a place we go everytime we are at Disney, we made a friend out of our server that night and visit her every time too! The very next day dh decided we should buy into the DVC- he states to this day that his experience at Artist Point sealed the deal!
My husband and I had our first anniversary dinner at Artist Point in 2009. The restaurant was fabulous. They greeted us with two glasses of champagne. We ordered venison pot stickers for our appetizer. I had a buffalo steak entree and my husband a wild boar entree. The entrees have been changed since we ate there. However, they always have some type of venison, buffalo, and boar on their menu. For dessert we had a fig tart (a special of the night) and their mixed berry cobbler. Both were fantastic. The service was impeccable. We are looking forward to a return trip!
Our very favorite at Disney. Elegant and rustic all at the same time. Impeccable service and outstanding cuisine. We dine here every year for our Anniversary. Sometimes it has been with our children along, sometimes without, but always wonderful. If you go during certain weeks in June, you can experience the rare Copper River Salmon, shipped to WL straight from the Copper River, fresh every day. This is my husband’s favorite dish of all. We also really enjoy the Venison Spring Rolls. Their berry cobbler is to die for and our youngest son is a big fan of the salmon on the children’s menu. We get our personalized menus each year. One year, the kids got the cutest light up Tinkerbell and Captain Hook, hanging off of their glasses of milk. There is always some spectacular memory we make here and bring home with us. Just an amazing place to dine!!!
