We ate here when we stayed at the Polynesian Resort on our anniversary trip. The Tonga Toast is awesome! Make sure you try that if you go for breakfast. They also have Dole Whips!

Looking forward to trying it next month!!!
We stayed at the Poly in Feb 2012. We ate all but 1 breakfast at Captain Cooks and many lunches during the week. Try the nachos….they are to die for! And most people don’t realize that you can get the same Tonga Toast they serve upstairs at Kona for half the price at Capt Cooks. Yum! As a previous poster said, there is not alot of variety, but the stuff they do have is amazing! The pulled pork sandwich is very different and yummy. I also enjoyed the adult grilled cheese a few times that week. And no, there is not alot of room inside, but most people that stay at the Poly eat at either Kona or O’Hana, so it was never very busy while we were there. And there is plenty of seating outside.
I had a salad here which was great. DH and DSs had sandwiches which they thought was just ok. Dole whip for dessert was outstanding. If weather allows, take your food outside to eat. Inside seating is cramped and there’s not alot of it. Looking forward to trying some amazing looking cupcakes-pineapple, guava etc. in October!
tonga toast is amazing!!!
We ate hear a couple times on our trip May 2011. Was surprised that it was not a very big place and not a lot of a selection. What we did get was good and the best part is they have a Dole Whip machine (YUM)!!
I love to eat at this quick service no matter where we are staying – they have. A great BBQ sandwich with a tropical slaw making it very unique and tasty for a quick service meal. We will watch the fireworks from the beach at times even when we are staying at other properties and eat a quick meal at Capt cooks
