There is fine dining near Disney available at Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian. This is a signature restaurant.
Location: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Tidbit: Even though this restaurant is located at a resort, anyone can eat here. If you are driving, just let the gate keeper know you have a dining reservation and he will let you park. If you are taking Disney transportation, you will need to take a bus from your resort to a park or Downtown Disney and then transfer to the bus for the resort where the meal is located.
Dining Plan:
This is a table service restaurant. You will use 2 table service credit when you dine here. Reservations recommended.
Meals offered:

Try to get one of the first tables of the evening or book about an hour before Wishes is scheduled to run.
This restaurant starts accepting reservations 180 days in advance. To book your reservation, visit Disney Dining online or call 1-407-WDW-DINE or contact your Disney Travel Agent (I recommend Destinations in Florida).

If you like seafood, definitely eat here. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the food is really, really good. We had our 18 month old with us and she was able to get spaghetti to suit her tastes. The Magic Kingdom fireworks were going on at the end of our meal and we were able to go out on the porches of the restaurant to watch and listen to the show. It was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

So, this is completely random, but have you ever done the resorts tour at Christmas time? While thinking about Narcoosee’s, and all the memories of that experience, I started thinking about the gingerbread house that was there at Christmas – it was big enough for children to play in (which they didn’t, but it was huge)……….at every resort they used to have chef created, completely edible creations………… I remember at the …. Polynesian maybe?, there was a HUGE little mermaid scene…..it was so neat to walk around and look at them all in the Magic Kingdom resorts lobbies……..just thought I would mention it with Christmas coming up…. :o)

This place has a special place in my heart. We celebrated our engagement here! My boyfriend had proposed the day before in front of Cinderella’s castle. I love him, such a sweetheart. Before being seated we were able to watch the Electrical Water Pageant out on the deck. Dinner was AMAZING! The staff had put confetti on the table since we were celebrating. The shrimp and crab chowder was the best ever. I still dream about it. The steak was delicious and for dessert we had the almond cheesecake which was really good. We also watched the Wishes fireworks from our table. They even play the music to go along with it. Everyone was congratulating us on our engagement. It was truly magical. We’re going to go back to disney for our honeymoon and I can’t wait to book this reservation again.

In 1994 I was lucky enough to be chosen to take part in the College program and had the opportunity to work as a seating hostess and management assistant at this restaurant……….. truly high up there on the most amazing experiences in my life (I have children now, so they kinda trump things… :o)) anyhow, the views are amazing, the food was delicious (although expensive for dinner, more reasonable, from what I recall for lunch), but the view is unique – the outdoor seating overlooking Cinderella’s castle is, in my opinion, a Disney experience no one should miss…….. especially if you get a chance to see the fireworks, or ……… I don’t know if they still do this, but there used to be a nightly water/light parade…. The staff was 1st class, and one unique thing I recall was the yard and 1/2 yard of beer……….. but, of course, I was in college back then….. :o) oh, and quite a few “famous” people would dine there, so you never know……… Highly recommend!

We love this restaurant!! We first dined her as a party of 6 – my husband, myself, my in-laws and my brother and sister in law celebrating my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary. We held out for a nice table, and had a great view of the Wishes! The food was delicious and perfect for a special occasion; my in-laws also received a special evening menu with Happy Anniversary on it. So my husband and I chose it for our special dinner a few years later when we celebrated our 8th. Would recommend!
