You can Save Money By Shipping Water To Your Resort .
Bottles of water are expensive at Walt Disney World. You can expect to pay around $3 per bottle in the parks! If your family of 4 all want a bottle of water, that is going to run you $12!
But not to worry! You can actually have cases of water shipped to your resort before you arrive. It will be waiting on you at luggage services. You will be charged a handling fee of $6 per package.
Here are a few places you can order water from:
- Amazon
- Costco – Delivery for the water is around $8.
- Staples
- Garden Grocer
- Walmart.com
And here’s how you should address your package:
Your first and last name
c/o Your resort
Hold for guest arrival on: 00/00/00
Resort Address
City, State, Zip
To find your resort’s mailing address, just Google the Disney Resort Name + Address (example: Pop Century address).

We are staying at Art of Animation in a few weeks. I just called the front desk to ask about having some things from Amazon delivered there. She told me there was not a fee for my items to be delivered to Bell Services and I pick up from there when we arrive. She said or we could have them taken to our room for $6. I asked if that was per item and she told me no. Has anyone been there recently to know if this is really how it works? Thank you!
Fairytale Personal Shopper can help avoid the $5 per package fee I have used them and highly recommend and will use them again on a next holiday!!!
There is a company out there called Fairytale Personal Shopper that will grocery shop for you, hold packages, and create gift baskets for a flat fee of $15. My last trip I probably had 25 packages that would have been $125 charged by disney to hold them. FPS held my packages and arranged a time to meet to avoid the $5 per package fee. I highly recommend her.
How to contact fairytale shoppers?
There are several Walmarts in the area so we just pick up stuff as we are going to the hotel. I also get the kids souvenirs from the Walmart since it is so much cheaper there. After we are through with the parks I get a chicken meal from the deli at Publix for dinner or we go up to Western parts of Orlando and get some Caribbean food for about $4 -5 bucks a plate. Last year I got a Restaurant.com certificate and we had dinner for 4 from O’Charleys which only cost me only $10 bucks out of pocket.
We will be staying at Walt Disney’s Old Key West in April. I inquired about having water shipped and they told me that I had to order from a local company and that it must arrive on the same day as we do. They said they do not hold packages overnight.
Just an fyi – be careful which hotels you ship items too (if you mail things before you go). We called and got the address for Contemporary’s Bay Lake Towers, but they neglected to inform us it would cost extra $$ (like $20 I think) b/c it’s a “conference hotel”, so they charge a premium to store anything you ship there. We used GardenGrocer once we arrived to bring dairy and other items that we couldn’t ship, and since they deliver to the bellhop directly, there was no extra charge.
We don’t just ship ourselves water, but we also ship all our food, snacks, and breakfast items because we fly and do not have room in our suitcases. I have done this 4 times and have no problem. It’s a great way to save $$.
Shelley, have you order from Wal-Mart? and is it true that the hotel charges to storage your packages? This is the first time that Im trying to ship to the hotel, not very familiar with the process.
Hi, Just wondering… did you ship from walmart to disney? i have an upcoming trip and was thinking of doing this but would love to hear from someone who actually did it already.
thanks!
One of the only free items at WDW is water, quick service resturants will give you cups of ice water free, we bring a reuseable water and fill it frequently.
Disney water is yucky….frozen water bottles are the way to go!
Kristin this is a great idea! Thanks!
Why wouldn’t you just take a refillable bottle (per person) and save ALL the money? (…and the planet.)
I am glad you shared this tip Kristin. We do this for our trips. I have had the best luck with the wholesale clubs. Two trips ago, Costco. This past trip, Sams. You dont have to be a member to order from there. Just have to pay a percentage which is pennys. I ordered three cases of 24 waters for 18 dollars last trip. So worth it. We freeze some each day and pack it in our bag for the day. More people should do this. I also put in as much info on the label as I can fit. Our name, cell, arrival date, confirmation #, then address of the resort.
