Dining With The Disney Characters at 1900 Park Fare Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner
Location: In the Grand Floridian. You can get there by taking the Monorail from the Magic Kingdom (or elsewhere).
Dining Plan:
This is a table service restaurant. You will use 1 table service credit when you dine here. Reservations recommended.
This restaurant starts accepting reservations 180 days in advance. To book your reservation, visit Disney Dining online or call 1-407-WDW-DINE or contact your Disney Travel Agent (I recommend Destinations in Florida).
Meals offered:
Dinner from 4:30 to 9:30 pm; Buffet includes Prime Rib. Yum!
Characters:
Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella
Special Event:
Cinderella and Prince Charming will have a waltz. They will also dance with the children.
They choose one child to open the restaurant at 5 pm so get there early!
My recommended reservation times:
Dinner: 5:00 – 5:30 pm and then head to the Magic Kingdom afterwards.
My experiences:
We ate here on Emily’s 5th birthday. They gave her a special autographed placemat and I ordered a Cindrella glass slipper dessert ahead of time (I think it was $17). During the Waltz, Lady Tremaine came up and asked Emily to dance and the Prince cut in! So she got to dance with Prince Charming on her 5th birthday. I was so proud!
The food is typical buffet food with Prime Rib as well. It wasn’t AMAZING, but it wasn’t terrible.
Would I do it again:
Yes. It is a great meal to go for a special occasion. We had a REALLY great time.

We loved 1900 Fare! We took the boat over to the Grand Floridian–girls loved that—-the resort is just beautiful–stop and take pictures if you can! I have a 7 and 5 year old girls, and initially they were very hesitant to even want to meet the step sisters and step mothers—but let me tell you—they loved it—the step sisters are so, so funny—the step sister with red hair whispered in my 7 year old daughters (red head) that “redheads have more fun” . My daughter is still talking about it. Then prince charming and Cinderella dance together—just so magical. The food was pretty good, lots of variety—much better than Crystal Palace.
That’s adorable!
We have always liked this one, but we were a little disappointed this year. The food was good, but the character interaction wasn’t what it was in the past. We didn’t get to see Anastasia either. In the past years it seemed as though the step sisters and Step mother sort of traveled close to each other so they would play off of each other, didn’t seem so this year. Anyway, as I said the food was good, the only thing I couldn’t eat was the roast beef that was at the carving station. The kids mac and cheese was pretty good (haha) and I always love the desserts from here, there’s so much to choose from and they are always great! This is the place to go if your a dessert/sweets kind of person. My husband always enjoys the salmon there. The chef (Chef TJ) was great! He was there for our past 2 visits. Our daughter has peanut allergies and each year he made her special desserts that were just amazing to look at and she said tasted so good! I think we will go back (probably for the food and Chef TJ haha).
We were at Disney the first week of September and did 9 character meals — this was in our top 3! Got seated right away, wait staff was great, had a great table at the door where the characters all come out — we were the first to be visited. The food was very good — good selection. Desserts were good too. So were the soups. The characters were great!!! Such a fun experience. Never felt rushed, the characters all spend as much time was you wanted with them and they hung around and interacted with each other. Would do this again!
Went for the first time this year. The stepsisters and stepmother were AMAZING! I even took video, they were better than Cinderella and Princey! Food, take it or leave it. I would leave it. Better than the Crystal Palace though. Like Chef Mickey’s, LOUD!
We have done dinner at 1900 and I thought the characters were great, but the food was the worst of the week. I know my daughter wants to go back, and I will give it another chance, hopefully it was a bad night. I wish the photo they take was included like Akershus. It is a great place to see Cinderella outside of the parks, for that reason it’s worth it.
We did not have a good experience here. Our reservation was for 7PM (6PM with the time change from Central time). However, we were not seated until 7:50. The food was so-so, the characters all seemed to be tired out by then, and we were dissappointed that the picture was not included in the price.
I have always wanted to see the inside of this hotel and this gave us a great excuse to go there. Make sure your little princess dresses up in costume (if that’s here thing) if you go there. When we went, I saw more than one sad little princess that did not dress up. The food was pretty good, my husband really liked some of the options at the buffet. The characters were SO much fun. Loved the stepsisters and stepmother. Really great in character. It was nice to have options of seeing different characters other than the usual one’s (that are at the other character meals). Would definitely go back if I did the dining plan.
We ate at 1900 Park Fare years ago but for breakfast. We don’t usually spring for character meals but this time a grateful friend paid for us after I gave her tons of advice about planning her first family trip to WDW. :) My DD had her heart set on meeting Mary Poppins (and Bert) more than anything else so it was the perfect character meal for us.
I have a eaten here over 5 times and love it everytime we go. It is funny because atleast on 3 of the times we have eaten here we have gotten the same waiter and last time we were not in his section but could see the same waiter was still working there.
My 4 years old just wanted to meet the Prince and give him a kiss…so I made sure we ate here. The Prince came over and she was so shy and just keep staring at him like she was in love. When her time was almost up I told him she wanted to give him a kiss.. he squatted down to her level and turned his check to her… well she froze…so he said “alright how about this’…he kissed her on her cheek…AND SHE LOVED IT!!!! She almost fainted and just keeped on touching her cheek. With him staying in character as he left he said “I hope Cinderella didn’t see that…don’t tell her, Okay? We keeped on teasing her that Cinderella was going to be jealous…she didn’t care …she just keeped on smiling touching her cheek.
P.S. with my older daughter the Prince kissed her hand which is cute too.
I love this buffet. It is my favorite one! It seems the food may be hit or miss, but the night we went it was AWESOME! The stepsisters and Lady Tremaine are hilarious and they had the best cesear salad I have ever eaten!
Just got back from WDW and we did this! We love this and it is our second time and it is amazing – the food and everything! I highly recommend it. We saw at the table right in the middle where Cinderella and Prince charming do their waltz! My daughter loved it and my son got his picture taken with Drusella – which he hated…haha. Great dinner and great characters!!!
My wonderful DH took me to 1900 Park Fare for our 15th wedding anniversary dinner and yes I got to dance with Price Charming!!! We also went there for breakfast for my 37th birthday. My parents and my kids still laugh at me because I still have the tiara they gave me. I wore it in the park the whole day!!
We have also done Chef Mickey’s (both breakfast and supper) several times. Love It! We also did Donald’s Breakfastorsaurus when it was at Restarauntorsus at Animal Kigdom. This last trip we took in December we tried O’Hana’s for breakfast. By far the most enjoyable because of you being srved and not having to get up to get your meal.
We have been to the 1900 Park Fare dinner and the Norway Castle Dinner at Epcot. I thought the food was much better at 1900 Park Fare. I like the buffet style at 1900 Park Fare much better than the “order off the menu” style dinner at Epcot. I also liked the interaction with the characters better at 1900 Park Fare. My daughter loves the characters from Cinderella so this dinner was perfect for her. However, if your child is not all that into “the other” characters from Cinderella then this may not be the best choice to spend your money. The Epcot Castle dinner has a good varaity of princesses (Mulan, Snow White, Auroa, Ariel, etc.)
Love it! The food is not one of my favorites but is still good, and I do adore the strawberry soup! Love seeing Prince Charming here and the stepsisters are sooooo funny!
We have eaten here many, many times. We love it for dinner, but also for breakfast (Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Pooh and Tigger). We have also seen the Fairy Godmother and some of Cinderella’s mice here before. The food is good. The strawberry soup is AMAZING! My daughter loves all things Cinderella, so this is one of her favorite character meals. If you only have time to do one “girly” meal we prefer Akershus in EPCOT, but we usually make time for both!
Hi all – just wanted to let you know that if you make a later reservation in the evening, be prepared to wait. We go annually to Disney and this is the only restaurant ever where we waited over an hour with a reservation – we waited at least an hour and 1/2 with 2 dressed up excited little girls. However, the food was great and we loved the silly stepsisters and this is the only place we’ve ever met Prince Charming!! If we go again (and I’d have to really take my DH into it!) we would do what Kristen suggested and reserve at 5!!
I think I have done all the character dining at Disney, but Park Fare is our FAVORITE. We did dinner there and the food was great, but the characters were awesome. I don’t know how eating at the castle is any better (it is the one we haven’t done). But the stepsisters and prince Charming put Park Fare in a league all its own I think! Dancing with Cinderella and the Prince was great! It just seemed so much more personal than some places. My daughter was 5 and she has red curly hair and the red headed step sister kept coming by and talking to her about their hair and brought other characters by to see them together. It was just VERY special! It would top my must do list!!!
One of our favorites!! It is not our favorite food but the experience is awesome!! My daughter also got to dance with Prince Charming, my favorite part of our entire trip!!
I loved the characters and interaction with children, but really wish it had more food variety. We didn’t find much for children to eat or the common food items. I guess it was a weird combination for people used to American food.
we ate there a few years ago (when it was still FG, not the stepsisters) and again with the current cast members. The picture of my little girl goo goo eyes at prince charming is one of my favorites. food was good; characters were “on” and interacted well. much better than the cattle car of norway; not as cool as the castle (but cheaper).
Our family of 5 dined at 1900 ParkFare for dinner in fall 2009, when we got the dining plan free. It was a wonderful character experience and of all the sit down dinners we experience there, it was the best as far as food goes. We saw Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, and the two step-sisters, who were hilarious! The staff was attentive and brought a little bassinet over when they noticed my hubby was holding a sleeping baby. The desset bar was delicious and the kids enjoyed their kids sized buffet with “picky-kid-approved” food choices. It is bright and noisy, so not great for a quiet evening, but it is a lot of fun!
LOVE LOVE LOVE dinner at 1900 Park Fare!!! We ate here in December. It was our 1st dinner after arriving at WDW and we couldn’t have picked a better place to begin our trip. The Stepsister are AMAZING!! We laughed til we were hurting our entire meal. The signature strawberry soup is DELISH as well as the carved roast beef (YUM)!! Our kids (4 and 2) really enjoyed eating here and have asked regularly since returing home when we will be eating with Prince Charming and the Sisters again!! My fav memory is when Anastasia (the red headed sister) came over to my DD who is blessed with red hair and was dressed up like Cinderella and said “I always know that dress would look better on a RED head” Even at 2 1/2 she felt special having all the attention on her!! We will GLADLY eat here again!!
Barbie- we go to Disney at least 5 times per year (yes we are junkies) and we ALWAYS use the dining plan. We love knowing everything is already paid for when we get there. Food at disney can be pricey when you pay oop. With the dining plan that expense is already paid for and you don’t have to worry about budgeting for that expense while on vacation. They have 3 different plans so it seems they would have one to fit each type of vacation. If you don’t want to sit down to eat and you just want to grab a quick bite at the parks of hotel then you can get the quick service plan. You get 2 quick service meals and 2 snacks per person per day. That is like a counter service meal where you walk up and order and take the food to your table. (think burgers and fries, pizza, etc.) If you want to do a lot of sit down dining or eat at signature restaurants then you can the deluxe plan. This includes 3 sit down meals with appetizer, entre and dessert,(or a buffet) and 2 snacks per person per day this also includes a refillable drink mug that you can fill up your hotel. If you want to do a little sit down dining and a little counter service dining the basic plan is a combo of both. The only negative about the basic plan is you have to keep track of which type of meal you have left. The only negative about the deluxe is if you don’t make reservations you may waste your money by not being able to get in places but if you have a lot of reservations you are running from reservation to reservation. it takes time away from park time. This is our favorite plan though. we like to do all the character meals and we like to eat at the signature restaurants and go to dinner shows. It is a nice break from the parks.
Our family ate at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast in Dec 2009 and it was very good! They had a large variety of items and everything was hot and fresh. The characters were very good and included characters from Alice in Wonderland, Belle, and Pooh. We found it nice to use the monorail to get to MK after eating! Worked out perfect!
We loved the dinner at 1900 park fare. ( we love the breakfast too) but the step-sisters are really funny. They stay in character so well! We went there for my daughters 3rd birthday for dinner and for her 4th birthday for breakfast. She got the autographed placemat both times but at the dinner they made a big deal out of it and gave her a cupcake too. At the breakfast it was more of an afterthought. They gave it to us after we paid the bill right before we left. But I really love the atmosphere at the grand Floridian and the character dinner there is a lot of fun. I would recommend it for the characters like Kristen said the food is typical buffet food. Nothing special but not bad either.
In my opinion 1900 Park Fare has the best character interaction. Food is good, but then again, I think most of the character dining food is ok. I’ve gone there for breakfast (Mad Hatter is AWESOME!) and for dinner (gotta love the stepsisters).
We just there here on the 25th of January but it was at the Grand Floridian – not the Polynessian Hotel. From looking at the pics I think that is where you were too — maybe a typo?
We had a great time and went for my mom’s 76th birthday. Our daughter who is 5 got the Bibbidi Bobbidi treatment that day so she went as Princess “Belle” Erin. The food was good but I hardly ever remember what I eat because it is too time consuming trying to get food from the buffet for three kids along with trying not to miss each character as they pass. I missed one of the step sisters but was lucky to call her over the next pass through. Once they were at your table they tend to scoot by until you leave. The bread pudding was great along with the Prime Rib and mashed potatoes. I would definitely do it again but it was pricey.
If I was only choosing one character meal, however I would go with Ohana’s. It was much more relaxing to stay seated and have the food served family style. We ended up at Ohana’s after reading on your blog how much you guys liked it. :)
In the past we have also done Chef Mickey and I liked 1900 Park Fare better. My sons LOVED the giant ice cream sundae which made it all ok that they had to sit through Cinderella. Ha! The step mother really picked on my oldest for not sitting properly at the table. It was hilarious.
Over all a very enjoyable time.
What are the pro’s and con’s of the dining plan? We are about to book our trip and I have been going back and forth on it.
The dining plan is great!!! we are a family of four and live in the FL panhandle, so of course we have season passes to Disney:) I was pretty skeptical about the dining plan the first time my hubby wanted to do it but i gave it a try. so we did a little experiment, we ate at all the places we normally would and I keep all the reciepts. we actually saved 200.00! on the plan. Its even better if you can get it free with your package. They dont always advertise it, so ask. The standard plan was more than enough for us it is a snack per day per person (icee, ice cream, popcorn etc)one fast food and one sit down ( character dining!!) I just learned on our last trip that you do not have to order kids meals at the fast foodplaces for your children. so you could just use one meal and split between two kids. all meals include desserts. also ask for a large when ordering no extra charge. We always use mouseears to book our trips. There is no charge to you because they get commission from disney. They alway find us the best deal though.Hope this helps.
Love your website, just noticed a typo, it is in the Grand Floridian, not the Polynesian :)
Thanks y’all. I meant that, it just didn’t come out right. ;)
I think you mean its at the Grand Floridian Hotel…
1900 Park Fare is at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa :-)
