The resort refillable mug at Walt Disney World is a great way to save on beverages. You can purchase a Disney Resort Refillable Mug in your resort’s food court. The refillable mug retails for $18.99 (plus tax) and you can refill it for FREE as often as you want at one of the mug stations in the food court. Beverage choices include soda, coffee, ice tea and even hot chocolate.
Before you decide on purchasing the mug, you need to consider how many times you will actually refill it. If you are staying for 7 nights and only plan to refill it once in the morning, each refill essentially costs you $2.71. If you stay for 7 nights and refill it 3 times a day, each refill costs you $0.90. Be sure to check the prices of bottles of soda, cups of coffee, etc before you decide on purchasing the mug.
Remember that the mugs are only valid for the duration of that stay. If you visit Walt Disney World twice in one year, you should purchase one mug per stay even if the mug designs have not changed.
If you are using any of the Disney Dining Plans (Quick, Regular or Deluxe), your meal plan includes one mug per person. Just pick up your mug and take it to the register with your Key to the World card and let the cashier know you are using your credit to purchase the mug.

It doesn’t seem like your website has been active since 2021-2013 – at least from reading the above comments.
If you ARE still actively operating, do you have a list of places you can use your refillable cups at the various resort properties and parks? Thanks for such an informative website.

My husband and I got the cups for free with the dining plan. We would fill them up on the way to the parks. Often when we would have a sit down meal, the waiter would offer to fill them up for us at the end of the meal. Also, with quick service meals you get a large drink for each person. We always would have extra, and instead of throwing it away we would fill up our mugs which would keep it nice and cold for hours. You can also ask for free water in your mugs at any quick service location.
I look forward to getting new cups every time we go!
So if you aren’t staying on site, you can’t buy the mugs?
Yes, I believe they are $14.95. You can purchase them at the counter service restaurant at the resorts. However, they are only good at the resort – not in the parks!
We were in the World in August and had the dining plan- a mug was included for each person on the dining plan. We didn’t use our mugs as much this time as in years past. Juice and “real” coffee used to be included in the beverages available for the mugs. Now your choices are limited to soft drinks, hot chocolate and a poor excuse for coffee (Nescafe isn’t real coffee! – They don’t serve any thing this bad at gas stations or fast food establishments). I appreciate that the mugs are now included, but I’d rather pay the $15 per mug and have options of juice, milk & real coffee. Just my 2 cents :)
I think that it depends on where you are staying at Walt Disney World. While I haven’t seen Apple or Orange Juice, I have seen Fruit Punch, Lemonade and Powerade.
I normally get the dining plan on every visit so having the cup for each one is never a problem. I do have to say, I sometimes bring extra cups with me from previous trips to fill-up prior to heading out to the park all day (I know, I’m a renegade). At the All Star resorts, the cup filling doesn’t seem to be policed at all. I see people filling up their own personal travel mugs etc. Personally, I think the refillable cups are a great souvenir, and great to use at home or work. They keep spills down in the car with my older children too.
Thanks for sharing this! Had no idea the mugs were included in the Dining Plan. We are going in November and we got free dining, so this is a nice extra perk.
The refillable mugs are now included with the Disney Dining Plan!
I got one of these free with my dining plan as well. We didn’t end up actually using it that much, so it’s good we didn’t pay for it. We only used it once or twice in the hotel during our five day trip. I use it a lot more now that I’m at home for a travel coffee mug! :)
If you have a package deal, Do you get the mug when you check into your room or do you have to actually use your keys to kingdom to “purchase” it for free from the food court? TYIA
Disney tested the chips in the bottoms of the some cups last year at ASsports. It would only allow you to get refills after a certain amount of time. It is my understanding those machines have been removed and those cups are no longer being sold. (They were the same design, but were lime green, purple, and another color)
In reference to your comment about purchasing a new mug every visit, I’ve heard rumors that Disney is testing RDIF chips in the handles or something with the keys to prevent people from using the mugs on a different visit or at a different resort. These rumors also mention the machines would then be open 24/7 instead of just when the restaurant is open.
Wow, that’s interesting!
