Paradise Pier is the ride center of California adventures really. It is kind of like Fantasy Land over in Disney. Lots of rides for all ages and types of people all in 1 spot.
Here are the rides in Paradise Pier:
Toy Story Midway Mania –
- This ride is a good one for all ages.
- You sit in a car and shoot at targets. This ride spins slowly between the targets. but not enough to make someone sick.
- This ride is extremely popular and doesn’t have any fast passes so you will want to plan to go straight to this at the opening of the park or be prepared to be in line for at least an hour if you go later in the day.
- This is handicap accessible if you have a manual wheelchair or can transfer to one.
California Screamin’
- This is a roller coaster similar to the ones you would see on the California beach amusement parks. If you like roller coasters this one is a fun one!
- There is a height requirement of 48″ to ride this ride.
- The is a very fast roller coaster and bugs are known to sometimes fly in eyes (not speaking from experiences or anything… :p ) So be sure you close your eyes at the very beginning to avoid that happening.
- This is handicap accessible if you can transfer from your wheelchair.
- Pregnant women or those with health problems should not ride.
Golden Zephyr
- This ride is a great one for little kids. it spins around, but it is slow enough that even babies can go on it.
- This is a classic beach ride. It is fast enough to make the ships go out a bit from the center.
- This is handicap accessible if you can transfer from your wheelchair.
Jumpin’ Jellyfish
- This has a height requirement of 40″
- This ride goes up and down a few times like a jellyfish swims. It goes up in the air first then slowly drops then goes up a little then drops. The kids loved this ride.
- This ride is handicap accessible to those who can transfer from the wheelchair.
King Triton’s Carousel
- This is just like any carousel, it just has a Little Mermaid theme.
- This is a great ride for infants.
- If you sit your infant on a moving fish, you need to put the belt on them and then you site behind them to keep them safe.
- This is handicap accessible if you can transfer from your wheelchair.
Mickey’s Fun Wheel
- This is a mickey themed farris wheel.
- You sit in a caged seat. Every 3 seats is stationary, the others move around as you go around the ferris wheel. When you line up you line up depending on if you want a stationary seat or a moving one so be sure you pay attention to the signs.
- This is handicap accessible if you have a manual wheelchair or can transfer to one.
Goofy’s Sky School
- Height requirement of 42″
- This is a mini roller coaster of sorts. You sit in a car and go up and down and twist and turn.
- If you have glasses or hats be sure they are secure or take them off because they tend to fly off easily on this ride.
- might cause sensitive person to get motion sick.
- This is handicap accessible if you can transfer from your wheelchair.
- Pregnant women or those with health problems should not ride.
Silly Symphony Swings
- Height requirement of 40″ to ride. Riders 40″ – 48″ must ride tandem with a responsible adult.
- This is a really fun ride. You are lifted up and swing around to the sounds of Mickey’s Silly Symphony
- This is handicap accessible if you can transfer from your wheelchair.
The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
- This is the story of the Little Mermaid.
- It follows the older style of Disney rides where you sit in a shell and travel through the story of the Little Mermaid.
- This is a great ride for all ages.
- My daughter loves this ride! You go into the “water” and experience life under the sea and then you come up out of the “water” for the rest of the story.
- This is handicap accessible if you have a manual wheelchair or can transfer to one.
