Carsland is the newest area of Disneyland CA Adventure. It is a place that kind of takes you away from California and into a different world of talking cars. There are only a few rides, but this area of the park is an experience of it’s own you don’t want to miss.
Here are the rides and what you should know about them.
Tow Mater
- This ride is the tractor ride according to my kids. you ride is cars towed by tractors that wean and spin and you slide around as it does that.
- The kids love this ride. It is a great one for a more sensitive kid because it isn’t very fast but it is fun at the same time
- You must be 32″ or taller to ride this ride
- Handicap accessible If you can transfer tot he ride from your wheelchair
Luigi’s Flying Tires
- This is kind of like a large air hockey table with tires on it. You control the tires by shifting your body weight from side to side or front to back to guide your tire where you want it to go.
- This ride originally had balls that you could pick up and toss between tires, but they have recently been taken out for safety reasons.
- This line is uauly over 30 min utes long so be prepared to wait a bit as there are no fast passes for this ride.
- Pregnant women or those with health problems should not ride.
- You must be 32″ or taller to ride this ride
- Handicap accessible If you can transfer tot he ride from your wheelchair
Radiator Springs Racers
- This ride starts with a slow ride through radiator springs and all the parts of the movie. It ends with a race between the cars to the finish.
- This is a great ride! It goes through all the parts of the movie you are most familiar with.
- This ride usually has at least an hour wait, even on slow days. The most I have seen it is 2 hours but it usually hovers around an hour 15 min and an hour and a half.
- There are fast passes available for this ride. They are usually gone within about an hour of California Adventures opening so I suggest going to get your passes first thing in the morning. Then you can go to other parts of the park and come back and ride when you are ready.
- There is also a single riders line which is much shorter then the regular line.
- You must be 40″ or taller to ride this ride
- Pregnant women or those with health problems should not ride.
- Handicap accessible If you can transfer tot he ride from your wheelchair

We just got back from Disneyland/California Adventure in September and the new Car’s Land is incredible! I have to say, I think it’s the best themed land Disney has ever done. You literally walk into the movie! Radiator Springs Racers is an awesome ride, you have to do it at night when it’s all lit up too! You definitely have to get fast passes though, the line was huge. When we were there, they were selling out of fastpasses by 10:30 am.
We had 5 kids with us – our 3 (13, 7, & 6) and my 2 nephews (13, 11). They absolutely loved Cars Land and had so much fun on every ride there! Can’t wait for our next Disney adventure – Disney Cruise & Disney World 2014 after everything is finished in the new Fantasyland! Gonna be an epic trip!
LOVE the new Cars Land!! It was super packed when we went but we managed to ride Luigi’s flying tires. My kids loved it, we had a great time. Tip: keep an eye out for the ones that move fast and try to get on those. My son, age 5, also enjoyed the tractor ride. The food was great at Flo’s Cafe and came fast once you placed your order.
Absolutely CANNOT WAIT to visit here one day!! Disney did an amazing job! :)
