Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the stellar, flagship resort of Walt Disney World. With its elegant charm, Victorian style decor, and fantastic location it is a great option for many families who want to enjoy Disney’s best. I’m Carrie, travel agent with Couponing to Disney’s preferred agency, Destinations in Florida. Each week, I stop by to share some Frequently Asked Questions about Disney. I am working my way around the Bay Lake resorts, with our final stop at the Grand Floridian.
What is the Spa at the Grand Floridian Resort?
The Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian is a magical place to enjoy some pampering while on your trip. They offer many services, such as massages, facials, body wraps, manicures, etc. In fact, it is a great alternative to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique if you are traveling with older girls, who still like a bit of pampering but aren’t interested in princesses. They also serve children ages 4-12, so if you can’t get an appointment at BBB, consider making one here!
Is the Grand Floridian kid friendly?
Yes, I believe it is. My family stayed here two trips ago, with 2 10 year olds and a 3 year old. I did not feel as if it wasn’t kid friendly at all. The Beach Pool has recently been refurbished, and there is a new Alice in Wonderland splash play area for little ones. Plus, the location to Magic Kingdom can’t be beat!
How many guests can stay in a standard room at the Grand Floridian?
The standard rooms at the Grand Floridian are equipped for families of 5. There are two queen beds and a day bed in most rooms, plus a child under 3 in a pack and play.
