Disney’s Pop Century Resort is my “go to” value resort for families of 4 or less guests. I just love the theming at this resort, as well as so many other factors that make it a fantastic choice in the Value Resort Category. This resort is located near Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it is themed after the 20th Century pop culture. The resort is broken down into sections from the 1950s to the 1990s, and all the rooms house parties of 4 with one under 3 in a crib. The rooms are equipped with double beds, and there are Standard View, Standard Pool View, Preferred, and Preferred Pool View categories at this resort. But there is so much more to it than that! Today, I am going to share some frequently asked questions about Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and hopefully it will be your home on your next Disney trip!
What are my transportation options at Pop Century? Disney motorcoaches are your transportation option at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. But this is GREAT! Why? Because unlike the All Stars, Disney’s Pop Century Resort has its own dedicated buses to the parks. The All Stars share amongst the 3 of them, so that makes Pop Century even more desirable!
What are the differences in room category at Pop Century? Standard View Rooms are situated toward the back of the resort property, the farthest from the main building and main pool area. These are also the least expensive rooms at Pop Century. Next is the Standard Pool View Rooms. These are in the 50s, 80s, and 90s area. And like the description, they have a view of a pool, but are farther from the food, transportation, and main building area. Preferred Rooms at Pop Century put you as close to the main building, transportation, and food court as you can get. These are very much worth their extra cost, especially for families with young children. Finally, Preferred Pool View are the most desirable, close to everything and a great view of a pool.
What are the advantages to Disney’s Pop Century Resort? One great aspect of Pop Century is that it has its own buses to and from the parks. There is one main bus stop at the front of the resort, and each park has it’s own waiting area. Also, many guests enjoy that you can walk to Art of Animation from Pop Century. This is GREAT if you’d like to explore the Art of Animation Resort, and enjoy the Landscape of Flavors food court. Also, the theming at Pop Century is so fun! You get the chance to relive some of the best decades of your life, all amongst some Disney magic!
How many pools are at Disney’s Pop Century Resort? Pop Century has three pools. The main pool is the Hippy Dippy Pool located in the 60s section. This is where you find movies under the stars, poolside activities, and more. The 50s area has a Bowling Pool, and the 80s-90s section has the Computer Pool. As with all value resorts, the Pop Century Resort does not have a water slide at the main pool, however there is a small water play area for young children.
What are my dining options at Disney’s Pop Century Resort? Unlike the Moderate and Deluxe categories, Disney’s Pop Century Resort does not have any table service options. Your only option is the Everything Pop Food Court, as well as a pool snack bar and the gift shop with some packaged snacks. However, from what I have heard, the Everything Pop Food Court is one of the BEST Quick Service Dining locations on Disney property! And, if you want to try something else, the Landscape of Flavors at Art of Animation is just a stroll away!

We LOVE Pop Century. Great Food Court, awesome theme and the best part is Pop’s buses only pick up/drop off at POP!
The downside, we are a family of five and we are to the point we have to get two rooms which is preferable to us over getting a family suite at another resort.
