As soon as the air gets crisp and the leaves begin to fall, pumpkin spice lattes start selling like hotcakes. But my wallet can’t keep up with my stomach’s demand for this cozy seasonal blend. This easy to make homemade pumpkin spice latte will warm you right up this season and keep your pocket happy and full too!
Ingredients
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp canned pumpkin puree
- ¼ cup of espresso or strongly brewed coffee
In a small saucepan whisk together milk, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract and canned pumpkin. Heat your mixture until thoroughly blended and hot approximately 1-2 minutes being careful not to scald your milk. Once heated, vigorously whisk the milk until frothy. Add your spiced milk to your cup of espresso and enjoy! Top with some whipped cream for extra smiles!
