I’m sure you have all heard of Branson, Missouri. The entertainment capital of the Midwest. It’s one of the vacation destinations that is at the top o my husband’s list. He loves anything and everything music and he thinks it would be a fun place to visit.
But when picking a hotel, you have to make sure it is going to fit what your family needs.
Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel
- Located in historic downtown
- Across from the new Branson Landing
- Mainly tailored to business needs
- Offers children’s cribs and high chairs but doesn’t look very child friendly
- Offers a wide selection of packages
Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing
- Located in the Branson Landing shopping and entertainment district.
- Offers almost all the same business amenities as the convention center but is more child friendly
- Actually allows pets up to 75 lbs (for a $50 fee)
- Offers a wide selection of packages
- This is the Hilton hotel that I would choose
The Branson Landing is a huge shopping center with some of our favorite stores like Bass Pro Shops and most of the stores you find at your local mall. But what I would really like to see is the 7.5 million dollar WATER fountain! Now that would be something interesting to see!
As far as the entertainment goes… we would definitely go to the Dixie Stampede (love that place!) We would also love to see the Grand Country’s amazing pets show. That sounds like something the kids would love! And we wouldn’t be able to leave Branson without seeing The Legends show. I saw this show when I was a teenager and I was blown away by it!
So has anyone been to Branson? What did you think of it?

We went to Branson a couple of years ago for Spring Break and had a blast! We have 4 boys and all of them had a great time. We did Silver Dollar City and that 7.5 million dollar water fountain is amazing! If you go to Branson, be sure to see The Haygoods! They are a very talented family!

I live about an hour from there. Branson is an amazing family place….so clean and family oriented. There are lots of great shows (although they can be on the expensive side). There is a GREAT dessert place called Cakes N Cream….funnel cakes and ice cream in homemade waffle cones. So delicious! The show I recommend is at the sight and sund theatre….it’s Noah’s Ark. There are live animals and they do the show as if you are in the ark with Noah and the animals….it is truly amazing!

We visit Branson at least 5 times a year and love it. We always stay at motel called “Branson Best”. A smaller scale motel with a homestyle feeling. They have full breakfast in morning and at night cobbler with ice cream (both free for guests). Great on the pocketbook. Sites to see include: Dixie Stampede, Silver Dollar City, Titanic, ride go karts at The Track, and whatever show your heart would be content with. There are so many to choose from. Great shopping opportunities also. We like it for a great getaway weekend.

I live in Branson and LOOOOVE living here. What a great place, way to much to do here. My husband is an actor and my 12 yr old son is also. The best part is in Hollister Mo they have a Walgreens coupon friendly store. They let me order my stuff. Another reason to live here….lol

Went last year, camping in my sis and brother in laws RV on the way back from Kansas. Had a blast. The kiddos enjoyed Dixie Stampede, Trevor was not pleased with the results, ha! He wanted the South to win, what can I say, ha! We did the Ride the Ducks tour….and would recommend that to everyone. We had an awesome driver and the tour was spectacular and fun filled!! Trevor wanted me to add that the kids got to “drive” the duck when we were in the water and received commemorative certificates!
