Here’s a tip on how to extend the life of your celery from reader Marva:
To prevent your celery from going limp and becoming useless, take out of the cellophane bag, cut off bottom, separate into several small groups and wrap in aluminum foil, then put into crisper drawer of fridge. Instead of tossing out nasty celery in one month- this will last for 3-4 months.

I chop and freeze. Then when I’m making a soup it is easy to add some celery.

Interesting. I’ll have to try this.
I usually precut mine into snack-size for dipping & put in a bowl of water in the fridge. The water keeps them nice & crispy. Or if we aren’t going to get to it — I freeze them. They aren’t usable for eating raw this way but are an easy addition to casseroles, stews, pot pies or veg/fruit smoothies this way.
