If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland, you are likely planning a visit to at least one Character Meal location. Can I suggest that if you only do one, that you pick Goofy’s Kitchen at Disneyland for it? I find it to be one of the best places to eat as far as the quality of food for a character meal buffet location. It’s also one that always surprises me with who might show up. This is truly the fun part for my family.
Our interactions with characters have included Goofy, of course, and other characters such as Pluto, Princesses, Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Mad Hatter, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, and more.
Goofy’s Kitchen is located inside Disneyland Hotel and offers a selection of items in a buffet style for the whole family. Make sure you take a slice of the Peanut Butter and Jelly Pizza. There are 5 stations available to find your favorite meal items at. At Breakfast they will always have Mickey Waffles and pancakes, and you can enjoy some made to order omelets, pastries and breads, French Toast, Eggs Benedict, carving station with ham and again so much more. You won’t go away hungry from this meal.
In the evening the buffet stays with the 5 food stations but turns to a more robust offering. Included in the evening meal are succulent meats at the carving station, fresh fish of the day, salad bar, children’s offerings such as hot dogs and Goofyroni and Cheese, pizza, vegetables, and a selection of cold and warm desserts like bread pudding and fruit cobblers.

I love reading the comments and I’m sorry for my delayed response. Karen is correct, just make a reservation when you want to visit (of have your Travel Agent do it :) ) The cost depends on the age of the visitor and the meal, however it would be between $30 and $60 per person.
It’s truly a fun place to eat and is worth the cost. When else will you get PBJ Pizza? ha…
No Judi you don’t have to be staying at the hotel but do make reservations! I agree it is the best place for great food and tons of characters walking from table to table! We have gone for breakfast and dinner and I have to say they were both fantastic! The kids always take their autograph books and get everyone to sign them, it is alot easier than standing in those lines, the characters work their way all around the tables so you will get to talk to everyone! I wish I could remember the price but it was worth every penny for all the fun we all had! We also took lots of pictures! We now go everytime we are at Disneyland!
Do you have to be staying @ the hotel to eat there? And what is the cost?
Goofy’s Kitchen is the best. We have been going there every year since my children were born (they are now adults. We would visit Disneyland the first week in December to see all the Christmas decorations and shows, then end our day with dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen. Besides the food being awesome, the characters spend “quality” one-on-one time at each table. We’ve had Goofy feed my toddler, been part of a character parade, had Chip & Dale play games at the table, and more. Even now, my adult children still want the tradition to continue. Great memories AND, it beats waiting in long lines at Dland to meet the characters!!!
