Epcot International Festival of the Arts runs approximately from mid-January through mid-February. It debuted in 2017, exclusive to the weekends and returned in 2018 running daily. Festival of the Arts celebrates all things art from visual, performance and food.
The Epcot map has been rethemed for the event and includes information on the Food & Beverage, Entertainment, Merchandise and Festival Exclusives.
One fun perk available at all of the festivals is the festival passport. This passport tells about the events of the festival, entertainment and food studios. There are lists for you to check off what you try at each of the 18 participating booths (some only have 1 thing for the festival while others are temporary stands for the festival).
Future World is decorated with multiple signs advertising the festival. They make for great photo opps and many have a PhotoPass photographer available.
The first year there was 8 food booths set up for the festival plus many of the existing snack stands and counter service restaurants are participating with special offerings. There are a lot of kid friendly options on the menus too!
Throughout the World Showcase are various booths dedicated to the arts.
The Festival Showplace is located inside the old Odyssey restaurant in Future World. It opens at 11 AM.
One way for kids to engage is with Disney Figment’s Brush with the Masters map. It is $6.99 + tax. Once completed, they can take the map to World of Travel for a surprise (likely a pin).
Here is a scan of the Times Guide that shows everything that is going on the first weekend of the event:
