In the past I shared with you how to find coupons, but I often get asked how people get multiple coupons. Here are a few ways:
- Buy multiple copies of the paper
- Purchase multiple copies of a coupon online
- Ebay
- Dumpster Dive
- Ask friends and family to save coupons for you
- Trade coupons online
If you are new to Couponing, you might want to take a moment to read more in my Getting Started Couponing series. It will teach you how to coupon like I do!
Don’t be afraid to ask your friends or neighbors for their coupons! You can even start up a coupon swap with your friends where you trade coupons you won’t use but, perhaps they will!
My local Dollar tree sales the paper for a $1 on Sunday. If you were to go somewhere else or get it from one of the boxes it’s $2. I do have to get there when they open but it’s well worth it.
Also check to see if your town has a local paper that is inside a major paper. My town does this and on Thursdays I buy the paper (they come together) and they have Sunday’s coupons in them. And it’s only $1 on Thursday instead of $1.50 on Sunday.
Also, ask people you work with for extra coupons. I have so many people give me coupons, that I usually only buy 1 paper on the P & G weeks
Thanks for great tips! I have made friends at my local shell station they give me free papers before close sunday night since it goes to the trash bin :)
I’ll definitely be asking family members to save coupon inserts. Love the team work!
Great training articles!
Thanks Amy!!
brenda – my personal computer often will allow me to print twice, by entering coupons.com via 2 different portals (such as 2 different coupon blogs)
you can then hook a different computer to the printer such as your laptop and do so again….to connect the other laptop simply unplug the usb plug from the back of the PC and stick it into a usb port on the laptop it will take a few minutes to install the printer – but only the 1st time
some coupons allow you to print once a week….some allow you to enter a different zip code and print again
I hear some say they use another computer to get 2 more coupons. Could you explain this to me? Is it that you need another computer and another printer or can you connect 2 computers to the same printer? I have a laptop and a desktop and would like to be able to do this but, don’t know how to connect the laptop to
this printer since the printer is not wireless. Also, would I need to use a
different email address on each computer? Any advice on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Brenda It doesn’t have anything to do with email accouts or printers. From what I have experienced it has to do with the computer. I am using two laptops to the same printer. Before you can print most of the coupons you have to download what I call printer control software. That is what controls you only printing the coupon only. You can get a second one by hitting the back button a couple of times until the little printer and couputer logo pops back up.
also it is important to check the prices of the papers locally and see which come with which inserts….our sunday papers here where i live in southern nj are from NJ NY & PA…different papers have different inserts and they range in price from $1.25-$2
example:
here the redplum comes in the mail on thursday
sunday papers from NJ and PA only have the smart source & possibly the P&G if there is one that week.
sunday papers from NY usually have the redplum and sometimes also have the SS & the P&G.
then once i see who has what….the daily news is $1.25 the inquirer is $1.75 – but have the same inserts!!!
***and always open the paper in the store to make sure the inserts are in there – some get missed some get stolen!!
