Items typically go on sale about every 6 weeks to 3 months depending on the store you shop at. Instead of concentrating on stocking up on as many of a product as you can, you could just buy enough to last your family until the next sale comes around.
If you can’t make it to the store for a sale, don’t beat yourself up. It will go on sale again in no time. Knowing this can really help give you a better perspective on couponing and stocking up. I know as soon as I realized I didn’t have to rush to the store for every single great deal, I felt liberated.
If you are trying to figure out the sales cycle for your store, keep the sale papers for 3 months. Write what items are on sale in the paper that your family uses on the front cover. When that item goes on sale again, you’ll be able to figure out the sale cycle.
If you are new to Couponing, you might want to take a moment to read more in my Getting Started Couponing series. It will teach you how to coupon like I do!
Thank you! I needed to hear this and stop beating myself up.
Definitely shouldn’t beat yourself up! :)
