If you are new to couponing, you probably feel very overwhelmed. My absolute best tip to you is to learn how to coupon at just one store. Once you have shopped at that store for a couple of weeks, add a second store to your couponing routine.
If you are starting with the drug stores, I highly suggest you start with CVS. It is the easiest of the drug stores to shop. If you are starting with a grocery store, I’d start with Walmart.
If you are new to Couponing, you might want to take a moment to read more in my Getting Started Couponing series. It will teach you how to coupon like I do!
I tried to start doing every store and still sometimes don’t know where to go. I used to like Rite Aid until my store got really nasty and fussy about every printable coupons so now I go to CVS and have had great success there. I also go to Target but always end up spending way more there, so if I go to Walmart I usually get what is on my list because I wait for the items that you get money towards other items, Walmart is the only store in my area that will give you credit towards other items if the coupon is higher than the item. I like that!
I used to shop at target EVERY WEEK and the same thing kept happening to me. I was spending WAY too much money! It’s crazy we used to go to Walmart once a week since I started couponing we go maybe once a month! My mom says thats a good thing lol
I started with CVS then I went onto Walgreens. For me it’s 10 times easier if you just do 1 or 2 transactions and then use your ECB or RR the following week. Usually I take my mom or sister with me and have them do 1 transaction and I do one. For me it’s just that much easier and I HATE holding up the line doing 10 million transactions.
I think Target is easier than Walmart but since we’ve been couponing we go to Walmart like once a month it’s crazy! But my mom says it’s a good thing to keep her out of walmart haha
i tried walgreens first…the first day i was overwhelmed, but i kinda just looked around the store…after that i was hooked…i love walgreens, they have awesome customer service, and ive had only good luck with couponing!
This is so very true. I love the CVS deals every week. I tried Walgreens once. I may give myself a few more weeks before I try them again.
