I always keep a tote bin in the back of my van. When I go to the store (doesn’t have to be just the grocery store), I’ll throw my stuff in the bin and I’m able to get my stuff in the house in less trips! Also, have you ever had some stuff roll out of your bags into your trunk or under your seats and you have to go find it? Not anymore if you get yourself a bin, too!

It would be even better if you skipped the bags altogether and just put the groceries back into the cart and put them in the tote when you get to the car. We have several “bag it yourself” stores here, and it is so much easier and better for the environment to skip the bags. Also, I just read that many major cities are banning “one-time-use” shopping bags. You can purchase a reusable bag or bring your own. I believe it is only a matter of time before we see this everywhere. :)

That’s a good idea, too :)

I used to do this when I lived on the third floor during my Disney College Program! Then I would get the guys next door to all go down and grab a box and all my groceries were upstairs in a snap!

I use my Thirty One large Utility Totes and the new Fresh Market Thermal (which holds a lot of frozen/ cold or hot foods (and can even fit my crock pot in it)! Plus they look cute too!

I do this too but I use a laundry basket I bought at Target on clearance years ago for 16 cents. (Yup 16 cents!). Anyways I once had a can of frozen Minute Maid juice go missing. The next day my car smelled very fruity and I found the empty can in the trunk. With the heat, that frozen can did not stand a chance. LOL. After that I learned my lesson and now I have both a laundry basket and an ice chest in my trunk to hold all my groceries.
